I'm not sure. The A-Y, once they have killed people, seem uninclined to stop. I would imagine the monastery would be more of a prison.DOYOURLABS wrote...
I just had a thought. Do you think Shepard can convince Samara not to hunt down ardat-yakshi but tohelp them, and then she builds a monastery for them?

And how likely do you think that is. I can think of some scenarios but none of them likely.JohnnyDollar wrote...
No, not AY Asari that are actively killing people. Not unless she decides to quit the Justicar order.

I was referring more to the "artwork" in itself, if you want to call it that, and peoples' individual reactions to viewing it, not the uploaders themselves. There was quite a bit of it uploaded in another thread last night.LuckyIronAxe wrote...
That's a very mature way of thinking Johnny, I think I'm just going to stick with the man is a punk.
Oh, well I guess I missed something big, so somebody put up a bunch of pornographic pictures up in one of the threads, was it the Liara thread again? Like this afternoon, or another thread? Was it the same poster? If so then my assupmtion of the man being just another Troll was accurate, if not I'm really confused then.

Probably highly unlikely right now. She is ~800 yrs old. She still has potentially a few centuries left to live. Perhaps someday, but I don't see it happening soon myself.DOYOURLABS wrote...

Yeah, but their are only three known AY asari, well two now, I guess it would be pretty cool if one of Samara's daughters took up the code.

In the thread that woo accidentally created someone posted plenty of them. The thread doesn't have a name and has been turned into spam pictures. Then somebody else posted one in the liara thread.LuckyIronAxe wrote...

I don't think the A-Y will be left to roam freely anytime soon, too dangerous.LuckyIronAxe wrote...

I have an idea! A asari that didn't know she was an a/y that fell in love and melded with her bond-mate and killed her/him. Then she became a justicar to make things right.LuckyIronAxe wrote...
Yeah, just an idea that I shared outloud, would be cool though, don't you think?

I would think that it would be similar to making a pedophile a "Texas Ranger".LuckyIronAxe wrote...

Hey it would make for an interesting story, don't get me wrong it be a messed up, twisted, evil story. But I was thinking something closer to DOYOURLABS idea of somebody with more of a paragon origin and conscious but still has that dark side of being born an AY.

Maybe her daughter joins with shepard because Samara leaves. Or maybe in ME3 they find a cure for a/y and you can be with morinth if you chose her. If you chose Samara maybe you can give her the cure and help her daughters.7Makaveli wrote...
One of the daughters becoming a Justicar is an interesting angle. I suppose they could write a scenario where this daughter thinks very highly of her mother and wants to help her. But Samara condones this and does not approve, thinking that the daughter does not understand the Code and is being disrespectful. Plus she would be upset that she has broken out of the monastery too. I guess they could make Shepard play a mediating role.

Interesting. Is it ever said in game specifically why the A-Y mutation(?) is undetectable until puberty? If it's a gene then shouldn't they recognize it immediately?DOYOURLABS wrote...

It's Asari genetics, AKFTF. Around here, in the Samara thread, we've learned to not question Asari genetics, and simply accept them as the staging ground for retcon after convenient retcon.
There is no known cure, presumably because it can't be detected until the Asari reaches the Maiden stage, and by that time, it's too late for treatment, for whatever reason. Apparently, the only "cure" is prevention, not treatment.
I detect a hint of eugenics here. At least the Ardat-Yakshi self-sterilize.

She said "it manifests with maturity" so maybe it is undetectable until it's too late? I thought of another scenario for the beginning of ME3. You can choose to cure the ardat-yakshi condition or Thane's condition.AKFTF wrote...

Eugenics sounds accurate to me. The Asari/Asari (Pureblood) relationship seems to have a negative stigma attached to it in Asari society because of potential AY offspring implications.yorkj86 wrote...

1% of Asari are on the AY spectrum. Who knows what that means, exactly, or how long it will take to breed the AY gene completely out of existence, if that's even how it works for them.

You have to chalk this up to "Bioware just doesn't go this deep or detailed in the story" on this one. Not enough information is given to us.AKFTF wrote...

In case Samara is a LI in ME3? Know what I mean, know what I mean, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more?
