I would buy the Liara/Shadow Broker DLC but if they came out with something else I would be just as happy. I just want them to give us some RPG type DLC where it isn't all combat but more talking and playing the game like... let's say... a RPG.

Given what I've seen on YouTube regarding what's already built-in the game regarding Liara/SB, my expectations are rather low regarding any DLC. I don't expect Liara to be recruitable, for instance. Casey Hudson already stated they planned on using the ME1 characters in the ME3 plot in an unspecified form, so Liara will still remain a "mission-giver" in ME2.

I suspect the original reason they didn't explore the Liara/SB angle further in ME2 was a timing issue, because the game came out before the complete comic book arc was published. With that out of the way, they can tweak that side-mission to preserve the comic book continuity. The DLC may have some good RPG aspects, I just don't expect it to have a dramatic impact on the main story arc. BW will be using the VA already recorded, so no big surprises there.

We'd love to see optional, character-oriented DL side-missions; the main obstacle being balancing the cost of additional VA vs potential revenue generated from the DLC. I suspect this would limit any character-oriented DLC to the more popular ones, unfortunately for Samara.

I don't remember who did the VA for Kasumi... I guess it could also depend on how expensive the relevant VA talent would be (as well as his/her availability). I can see Tali or Garrus being good sellers on the DLC market, given their popularity.

I suppose Maggie Baird wouldn't be too expensive to contract for a DLC expansion. Being a singer, she already does a fair bit of studio work so the logistics are not too onerous. The motion capture can be done with anybody. It's on the sales side we have less information. EA seems interested in making DLC a part of their business model but we have little information regarding the popularity of story-driven DLC so far.

Honestly, I can see that happening. Here's my guess on what the Liara DLC will be if it exists:
Liara: I think I found the shadow broker, just go to this location and kill these mercenaries and hack the computer
Shepard: I should go
*10 minutes of action with no dialogue later*
Shepard: I killed the mercenaries
Liara: Go hack some more terminals / kill some more mercenaries
Shepard: Done. 
Liara: Lets go get the SB
*20 minutes of action with 1 or 2 meaningless dialogues, Liara kills shadow broker*
Liara: I'm going back to illium to continue to ignore our past romance. Kthxbai.

and somewhere along the lines you get a new gun, armor, etc.

After all the dissapointing DLC so far i doubt it will be enough to make me start my 8th ME 2 playthrough.

I am not setting myself up for a let down.

That is why I played a male Shepard from ME1 that didn't romance anyone from the first game.  Now I can do three different playthroughs (Jack, Miranda and Kelly... but no Tali because that romance is just creepy).

When i saw the Tali picture i completely ignored any points no matter how invalid the OP had.

On the Attractivness Scale: Every Asari ever > Tali, and also Brian Peppers > Tali.

I like to joke around.  Though I am disgusted with some of that stuff in the Tali main thread.  That and some of those guys can ruin threads by constantly bringing her into other threads that have nothing to do with her.  Also.. I find it creepy that she went from like 17 to 24 in a matter of two years.  I just finished a ME1 playthrough and there was a clear difference in the age or her in ME1 and ME2.  It was most definitely a major shift... like going from 17 to 24.  That is just creepy to me (Shepard was like her High School teacher... ick).... they should be called Taliphiles.
