I actually wouldn't. The base is a useful tool, and he has lots of intel. I never really thought what he did was that bad. Everything was for "the greater good."Pacifien wrote...
I'm not entirely sure Samara would be upset the information came from the Illusive Man, though. Like I said, she knows little of the Cerberus organization before joining you. Once she joins you and is in the position to learn more, she's bound by the oath she's already given you. Once the suicide mission is done, I imagine Shepard would be right alongside Samara in wanting to kick the Illusive Man's ass. Well, most versions of Shepards that I imagine players having anyway.

She was polite with Jacob when she first boarded the ship in the conference room I assume. Unless it is specifically stated by her or somewhere else, I would assume that she knows quite a lot about Cerberus. It would be hard for her not to as long as she has lived, and all of the travels and assignments that she has made in her profession. Presumably, she has vast amounts of knowledge about the makeup of galactic politics, races, and various organizations.Pacifien wrote...

She would have to go by her instincts and whatever contacts she has concerning questionable sources. That would be her expertise I would assume though. Law officers will sift through every source and lead that they have, and investigate it to try to solve their case.Pacifien wrote...
But even if I got it wrong and she does know more about Cerberus, still think she'd accept information no matter the questionable source. I got the impression that she would have let the Eclipse merc go if she had given Samara the name of the ship, even though it was obvious the merc was into criminal dealings.

Yes, The Illusive Man's selection of a Justicar as a dossier was pretty intriguing. If he knew anything about Justicars (which I'm sure he does) he would know that they all seem to have many things on their plate to deal with, and may have a single specific oath that they are trying to fulfill in the long run. But he's also a man who can use other's whims against them, and probably knew that now that her quarry is out of Asari space Samara will be out for a while as well. He may not have even known about a 3rd Oath, but knew that Shepard being who he/she is had a chance to get her to follow him. I initially thought it was too easy the way you recruit her, and get her to swear that oath, but I believe we resolved that the oath just got us an ally, her loyalty earned us a friend.

"I sense the truth in what you say." That line of hers made me groan. I'm sure that, by now, Samara is quite adept at being able to tell when people are lying, but that line ripped me right out of the scene. Just a few more lines of dialogue of Shepard explaining his cause to Samara would have been satisfactory for her.

Thanks, I bet my custom avatar is still better than the one on the old boards.Siansonea II wrote...
Hey Johnny, I love your avatar!I wish I could go back to the Asari Councilor avatar, she was my avatar on the old ME1 boards.
I believe this to be a wise choice. Just in case. coughIHopecough *crosses fingers*NICKjnp wrote...
My no romance Shepard is going through his first playthrough. Now I can mock romance Samara (in case I can romance her in ME3).

If Samara is discovered to be an LI in ME3, I'd rerun my "main" Shepard through ME1 and 2 without romancing anyone.

If you have pc, you could just use the save editor and change the flags of your ME2 save. If you didn't want to do the re-run of course.

Can you download a save file and use it on the 360? If so, that would work too.NICKjnp wrote...

It's possible to do that with the 360 version too I guess... but I'm not skilled enough to change all that stuff on a pc and I don't have the equipment to do it.

Sory, that was random. There's a poll asking people which squadmate's name they like best backwards. Samara was winning last time I checked...7Makaveli wrote...
