It doesn't instantly kill them... they just all start attacking each other (think mosh pit). I haven't dominated a collector like that... but I've heard that it will fight as Harbinger against other collectors until it dominate runs out.

So dominate is like an Organic AI hack that only works when the target has no defences?

Yeah... but they do get barrier on lvl 2 and up.  So they fight for you... until it runs out.  However by the time it runs out the power is ready to be used again.

What else does Morinth say besides "Feel the power of the Ardat Yakshi", when she uses her powers?

"Way to go Morinth, that line was a dead giveaway. I thought we were supposed to keep it on the down low that we killed your mom and replaced her with her soul sucking serial killer daughter, geez."

Don't remember.... sorry.  When I do my Miranda playthrough I'll keep Morinth in that one.

Honestly though... if it took 400 years to catch Morinth then she is the worst Justicar ever.  Her daughter has been announcing every where she goes that she is an Ardat-Yakshi and Asari know them to be evil. j/k Image IPB

I know you have said that you use the AR with your Vanguard, but have you had any playthroughs with a Vanguard using the Claymore? If so, is there a noticeable difference in the damage it deals out compared to the others?

On topic: Samara's for ME3.:)

If any asari ever had cause to ask for the elimination of the Justicar Order, they would have put it to a vote and acted on it. The Order still stands, we must therefore assume that the Code is representative of what modern asari society considers to be "right". We must assume that asari law, while being allowed some degree of regional/planetary variations (like Illium), shares the same basic tenets as the Code. Justicars embody that Code, so their judgement is accepted as a matter of course, just as a Judge's would.

Very well said sir, I like that all Asari seem to have this way of looking up to Justicars. The way Dara says "no Asari would ever question their judgment" shows that they've been taught as young to respect their authority. I also think they admire the sacrifice as much as the principles they uphold. Its like a case of "someone's gotta do it". The fact that there is so few left means that there are few Asari left willing to make that sacrifice. Though, can you say maybe that Samara specifically became a Justicar for specific, perhaps even selfish reasons then? To be able to have access to certain training and being above the law to to eliminate this bane. I certainly don't think its selfish of her to need that power, because she's probably more than made up for it by resolving hundreds, thousands of disputes along the way. Another thing I want to know is that since Justicars are supposed to be the last line of their law, then who decides when that line has been passed? Like when is it appropriate to be sending Justicars to a situation, or do Justicars decide that for themselves? This broaches a topic of vigilantiism so I guess there is no proper answer. Justicars' ego is as powerful as their biotics, they wouldn't subject to a kind of monitering of their actions anyway.

I tried the Claymore but didn't like it.  A lot of people do like it though.  It is a beast that does damage to shields, barriers and armor.  The downside is that it only gets one shot before reload and doesn't have many shots in it.  It's a weapon for someone who constantly charges their opponents.  I prefer to do a mix of biotics to lessen the opponents on the field and charge enemies that get stranded by themselves (which is why I upgrade to heavy charge and not area charge).

I'll take it back as soon as you start writing in Red is the color of a renegade. Samara is a paragon and not a renegade.

Vanguard was in my top 2 or 3 favorites in ME1.

I am giving the Vanguard a go all the way this time.  I haven't dediced what I  will pick at the Collector Vessel yet.  Which shotgun do you like best out of the others?  I assume you use the shotgun sometimes right?

Do you bring Samara with you a lot?

Yeah I bring Samara all the time.  It's fun to spam area reave.  I prefer the Katana because it has better damage over the Scimitar.  In order to get the Claymore to it's best usage you need to have lvl 4 inferno ammo.  I don't like to put that many points into ammo powers.  As a matter of fact I'm going to try a playthrough where I don't have any points (besides the one point automaticaly in incendiary) in my ammo powers.  A pure biotic powerhouse.  Lvl 4 everything.

@Samara... now you are the best Justicar ever!

@JD... I don't like it. Too few shots in it (I think 3). It is a good shotgun for Jack and Jacob though. They don't have to reload and it is armor piercing as well as long range.

I think it starts out with 10 shots per load, with 3 reloads.

Is that right DOYOURLABS?

A couple of days ago I wrote a short fanfic about the Normandy SR-2's fictional, resident cat, Ralph, paying Tali a visit in Engineering.  It was received well by the Talimancers.  I think I'll write a series of them about the non-human members of the crew interacting with Ralph.  Their interactions might give funny little insights in to their characters.  It's a little exercise in creativity for me to try to anticipate their reactions, too.  It'll be cheap stuff, but hey, there's a cat involved, so it'll be cute.

Next up is Samara.

Ralph versus the Space Hamster.
Ralph versus the Fishies.
Ralph versus Grunt. Hrm... No wait, Grunt can't help but appreciate the lethal predator spirit of a cat.

ETA: Ralph ruins an entire day's work of Garrus's calibrations. Jack genuinely smiles while dangling a string for Ralph, only to catch Shepard watching her, so she abruptly changes expressions and growls "**** off!" Ralph runs off with Jessie. Samara encases Ralph in a glowing biotic ball after he keeps sprinting around the observation deck. Kasumi, who everyone thinks would love Ralph, is extremely allergic. Ralph and Thane get into a staring contest. Ralph especially likes Joker, who especially hates Ralph. Ralph is wary of Mordin, who only mutters about possible experimentation scenarios for the cat.

Yeah, stories of Ralph can be quite addictive, I can see.

Somehow I imagine Grunt getting into a tussle with a cat, and the cat winning. Pouty Grunt nurses his bit hand.
