I haven't tried any mods that change the skillsets for the squadmates.NICKjnp wrote...
Stay on topic.... has anyone tried modding Samara with differen weapons. I gave her a revenant machine gun and I swear that thing was a big as she is. Modding is fun. I'm thinking of modding singularity and warp into her character. That would be fun.... it would be Liara 2.0

Can this be done using that gibbed save editor or whatever it was called? I don't have it installed anymore.

Oh, I'll make it work. Even if it's little more than an essay about how a character does not need a dialogue wheel system to have depth. Or to counterargue Samara being a jerk because your Shepard is a jerk.Collider wrote...
Only if their dislike of the character (or aspect of character)is justified and researched. Which is often not the case with the hate/dislike threads - especially since they are often not to intelligently protest a part of the character, but instead to annoy.
I commend the Jacob supporters for developing his support thread on the bones of the Priiize. Now that is successful thread spinning.

That sounds like it could get messy, modding new skills in to characters.
You can always just remove it if it doesn't work right. I've been modding her loyalty power to work immediately after I get her.

I mod in a second bonus power for Shepard. Why wouldn't it work for squadmates? I think I might try it tonight.

Well you know what, I'm going to do a list of what I like about Samara, and it will be articulate because I've had enough of this nonsense:
*snip list*
^ feel free to add yall
I like that she accepts people for who they are, not questioning the path they lead. Criticize her for her statement to a renegade Shepard that his actions put him in her crosshairs as a Justicar, but she never lectures him on the person he is. She doesn't even criticize her own daughter for the choices she has made. People make their choices, they live with the consequences. If that puts them against her Code, that is the way of things. But honestly, a person could just as easily not get on Samara's bad side should the person be, you know, a good person.

Thanks for adding that great bit of insight.
- I like that while in her merc days, she was probably no different than any other merc in how she went about business collecting her paychecks, but now is essentially an executioner that doesn't see to her own needs at all. And only finds satisfaction in being just.

I like her physical grace and the fluidity of her movements. She doesn't seem to actually walk, she just glides.
I like Samara's soothing voice. Even the non-English VAs for her character all seem to have caught on to the fact that voice is supposed to be very calm.
I like the way the dark teal of her head-crest seems to "drip" in to the light blue of her face, like colors running from a painting.
I like her enthralling eyes.
I like her very strong jaw. Most Asari we've seen so far tend to have the stereotypically feminine softly-pointed chin and gentle jawline.
EDIT: Added some more.

I tend to believe that the Justicar order is an ancient order that has just about outlived it's time in Asari society. At one time, the Justicar Order fit into Asari society's morality. That may not quite be the case anymore. Asari society has evolved, while the Justicar Order has stayed the same.

I like that the impartiality demanded of her by the Code shows itself in her calm, composed demeanor. And yet, there are times when it appears that she wishes she could show compassion, and those moments show through as her smiles and chuckles. Her willingness to feel regret and sorrow about her decisions is tempered by her dedication to the Code.

What does that even mean? Do we agree with the judgements that Samara acts upon, or the overriding philosophy of the Code? Either way, that's a misleading question, and probably the wrong question to ask. It's like asking do you agree with the death penalty? You need to be more precise.
EDIT: didn't mean to jump down your throat if that came across, fella

Agreed, sort of like humans and the Catholic Church, back in the dark ages it did wonders for us. But out comes the Renaissance with it's new ideas and trains of thought, things changed and the Catholic Church wasn't needed in everyone's lives.
This is the Justicar Code's dilemma now, the galaxy has changed, will the Justicar Code adapt and change like the Catholic Church of Rome did, or stubbornly die out and fade into history?
Funny thing to remeber, the period between the dark ages and the Renaissance was like half an Asari's life time, its fun to think of human history in Asari years isn't it?

You mentioned the Dark Ages. A Justicar is somewhat similar to a Knight of the Dark Ages in terms of power and meating out justice I think.
