I usually play as a Soldier and a Vanguard. I like running in and simply mowing stuff down with the occasional use of biotics.

Make a caption with Shepard and Samara in it that says.... I don't need a heavy weapon. I have Samara.

I picture Shepard balancing Samara on his shoulder like he would a shoulder-mounted rocket-launcher.   She is holding her body streamlined and rigid, and she has one of her arms outstretched as she uses Reave.

What do you think Samara would have done with her life if she hadn't become a Justicar?

So this is assuming that Morinth didn't run off? Hm, yes I could see Spectre-ship in her future, but remember this was when she had settled down. But with her daughters in a monastery, maybe she would have fallen out with her partner, and go and explore the galaxy. She always seemed to have a sense of adventure, and admits Shepard showed her there was more in the universe than she thought. I can't really see her tied down with a job. So yea, just a lot of travelling and finding out about other species and their cultures. Meeting up with old friends from her merc days. Or maybe she would advance to Matriarch quickly and start teaching philosophy. I actually think Justicar-ship has been good for Samara, it has given her a purpose whereas initially she was just stuck with three sick children and perhaps a husband who didn't care for her. There's an odd beauty to it.

I wonder if Samara would have a hard time being taken seriously as a Matriarch, having given birth to three Ardat-Yakshi. That means she defied the social stigma against mating with another Asari (and good for her).

I think it might be more of a talk-behind-your-back type of thing. They wouldn't say anything to her face, but they would definitely talk about it. I think the asari are more put off by radical ideas (as evidenced by the bartender). As long as she isn't advocating building new mass relays she should be fine.

Ardat-Yakshi come from an Asari Pureblood mothers but that doesn't mean they are purebloods.

Ok, I'm often confused by this so lemme just get this clear.

PB=PUREBLOOD

PB-NORMAL  ---------  PB-NORMAL
                             I
                             I
                             I
PB-NORMAL (AY GENE CARRIER) ------------------------------- NORMAL
                  (samara)                                               I
                                                                               I
                                                                               I
                                                                 ARDAT-YAKSHI

is this how it works?

EDIT: Ook nvm yall this is a mess ^

It's the Asari-Asari mating that produces a Pureblood.  Asari-Asari matings have a greater chance of producing an AY+ child than an Asari-Non-Asari pairing.  Exceptions are, most likely, Asari who don't carry the AY-gene at all.

Also, it's Asari genetics, let's not get too involved in a debate over something that's changed significantly already.
