I'm eating a spicy black bean cheeseburger. This is what I get when I ask a vegetarian to get me a cheeseburger. But it makes me wonder what human foods would interest Samara. She strikes me as a vegan sort.

Samara would probably love chitlins.^_^

I'm vegetarian... at times I try to be a vegan (but I like cheese too much).

I'm a vegetarian by association. I don't cook, I eat what the vegetarian cook makes.

I smuggled some evil european cheese with its stomach-lined rennet into the abode the other day.

This makes me wonder if Samara would punish someone who eats veal or the people who provide the veal. Or both.

I wish I could greentext here, but sometimes it's so efficient:

Bioware:
>deny development team is sacrificing RPG elements for shooter elements
>deny accusations from critics and fans who argue that ME2 is "Gears of War Effect"
>acknowledge development sacrificed RPG elements for shoot elements
>promise more RPG elements in ME3
>toy with thought of multiplayer in ME3

Not exactly heartening news.

If only Grunt didn't get to them first.

Samara would be a vegetarian.  She doesn't seem keen on causing living things unnecessary pain.  The pain of death is unnecessary when the nutrition found in meat can be found in non-animal products.  Meat therefore becomes a luxury.

Maybe if the meat could be guaranteed to have come from an animal that was killed instantly, or if the meat was produced in a lab, she might find it acceptable.

Did you guys and gals hear that ME3 might have multiplayer?  That is the worst idea I've heard of.  People already are complaining that ME2 didn't have enough RPG elements.  Multiplayer will take away from the RPG aspect of the game even more.  BOO!

I have read some chatter.  However, what is the source of this?

New bioware job posting for ME dev position regarding latency and multiplayer.

Mass Effect Multiplayer article

I'm not going to jump on the doom wagon yet. First of all, the position is for the Bioware Montreal office, whereas the current ME games are made in Edmonton. Second of all, it says it's for the ME franchise. I always figured Bioware was not going to let the ME franchise rest with ME3.

Lab produced meat...   I'd rather be vegetarian.

I think her protection of innocents would translate to even less advanced animals. Though she wouldn't look down on someone who did eat meat, so long as the meat was obtained humanely.

If the world became vegetarian then famine would no longer become an issue.  It is more wasteful to raise animals for slaughter than it is to raise plants.

Do yall the think the Code has a sutra on how Justicars should manage their diet then, since it tries to ensure that Justicars themselves are complete followers of the Code. I don't think it does, however, that would be too.......I dunno how to put it but.............ah I dunno it just wouldn't make sense that the Code has eating habits in place.

No, I don't think it would cover diets.

It might.  It is possible the code requires Justicars to eat healthy (too be in top form) and refrain from mind altering substances.

The Code might advise against the consumption and/or use of drugs because they can impair one's judgment.  That simply wouldn't do for a Justicar, who must be mindful of the prescriptions of the Code at all times.

There would probably be a sutra that praises physical fitness in Justicars.

Aaah! So many humanist words! But I get the gist. That is still a little vague though, unless in Asari culture carnivorism is non-existant. Maybe there are very few situations in Asari worlds where Justicars would have to execute someone because of their diet.

If anything it strengthens the notion that the Code is strictly for use in Asarian contexts.

Morinth's a hedonist.  She would fry someone's brain, then take their money so that she could buy herself a nice steak dinner.

Bear in mind that this Code is ancient.
