Samara would be a vegetarian.  She doesn't seem keen on causing living things unnecessary pain.  The pain of death is unnecessary when the nutrition found in meat can be found in non-animal products.  Meat therefore becomes a luxury.

Maybe if the meat could be guaranteed to have come from an animal that was killed instantly, or if the meat was produced in a lab, she might find it acceptable.

How about Morinth?  Think she loves meat, perhaps even rare?

I think all she eats is meat.... raw.  That is why she likes Krogan so much.

If Samara is vegetarian, that earns her points for me.

On Morinth, she's the "artsy" and narcissist type, I wouldn't be surprised if she refuses to eat meat on the basis that it's beneath her or soemthing.

Morinth's a hedonist.  She would fry someone's brain, then take their money so that she could buy herself a nice steak dinner.

Aaah! So many humanist words! But I get the gist. That is still a little vague though, unless in Asari culture carnivorism is non-existant. Maybe there are very few situations in Asari worlds where Justicars would have to execute someone because of their diet.

If anything it strengthens the notion that the Code is strictly for use in Asarian contexts.

It's probably too vague to allow for an asari to eat meat, assuming it was obtained humanely. Unless asari are all vegetarians, which I can just picture going well with their perfect image.

I wonder if their are 5000 sutras because sutras had to amend and clarify previous sutras due to them being open to interpretation. And interpretation does not sit well with the black and white nature of the Code.

Great, so because I pictured Nihlus shooting a clown that was in the process of being eaten by two cannibals, I started wondering if there is a concept of mercy to a Justicar. Like come across a man dying a slow painful death due to an untreatable poison: leave him because it is unsuitable to take a man's life when justice is not involved or kill him to end his pain.

I was just thinking about how we can joke around with the Jack character, but we can't do this in the same way with the Samara character. However, Morinth seems to be a character that we can have a little fun with maybe.

The asari aren't perfect, but I think they'd like to be thought of as perfect. Well, actually, that's not the right word. Perhaps they like to viewed as wise. They live longer than most other species and are patient. They go for the long-view. It must be quite an adjustment to heed the advice of a 30 year old human when 30 year old in asari terms is still incredibly young.

Even if they have been living with the even shorter lived salarians for a couple millennia now, there will probably always be the initial tendency to want to react to, say, a 15 year old salarian as a child. Like how Anderson in Revelation said it was hard not project his perception of human females onto the seemingly all female asari race.

@Pac i dont see the Code covering euthanasia. It probably would let the person be as a form of canonical justice

Asari are prolly more egotistical than humans, they just hide it well. The long view does have that little disadvantage of not abusing luck and rolling the dice on important decisions like humans may do. Forgoing high risk high reward method may yield diminishing returns

I don't know if this has already been asked, probably has been, but why is it that Samara shows off her cleavage? Not that I'm complaining but it's totally sexy and I just want to...
