I've tried to play as a male shepard, and got as far as the "offline" collector ship before saying "F*ck this sh*t!"

Meer's voice acting was working on my nerves.

I firmly stick to my femshep!

edit: I bring Mordin and Samara along together whenever I can for that reason :3 Plus they just seem awesome XD

My first playthrough was with femshep... so I understand what you are saying.  The thing is that Meer's voice acting isn't bad all the time... but it seems to happen when you least expect it.  Other voice work he has done isn't too bad though... it's like the bioware team told him to be bad or something.

It looks that way from a still shot, she's constantly shifting about there for some reason. I actually like that in the scene, it's like she's just waiting for Shepard to say "Kill him."

Samara's relations with other squad members boils down to this for me; Jacob and Garrus would admire her combat capabilities and I think would revel at the chance to pick her brain about some of the more tactical decision she has made while facing off with a formidable adversary/ies.

With Thane, I think they could have plenty of talking points stemming from what they have spent most of their life doing, which is killing and their justification for it. But I get the feeling with their similar cerebral temperaments those talking points would never be uncovered, or would take a while to develop.

Mordin and Samara would have a quiet respect, and around Shepard would be more open to talk off each other in offering advice as I mentioned before.

I can't really picture Samara saying a word to Jack or Legion, or vice versa.

Tali would probably think of Samara as some sort of Aristocrat or Asari royalty, and would try not to embarrass herself in front of her. Samara would find this mildly amusing.

If she were forced to converse with Zaeed lol, they would likely talk nostalgically about past experiences, with Samara assuming the modest approach, while Zaeed brags a little.

Grunt would be his boyish self around Samara, who would quietly pity how much joy he seems to get from killing.

Miranda wouldn't be as "bureaucratic" around Samara as she seems to be around others, but only because she knows that Samara has sworn an oath that pretty much makes her loyal by default. Samara sees in Miranda a reflection of her early Matron years, mostly keeping to herself and her work, unknowingly waiting for something to settle her in.

And Kasumi probably reminds Samara of her maiden years.

Thoughts? Comments? Bueller? :D

Posts like these make me wish ME had the same level of squad interaction as Dragon Age.

I have to say I can fully imagine what you've written there Makaveli ^^ It all seems rather accurate :)

And I second BlackMetal...ME3! Have more squad banter! You know the BW team is going to see all this b*tching, and after ME3 everyone will be complaining about too much talking =P

In other news, I really like this screenshot...don't know why. o_o

Samara would probably tell Jack and Zaeed that she would kill them if she encountered either of them after the mission.

Samara would show respect to Legion (because he is the most paragon character in the game).

She would likely respect Thane for quiting his profession as an Assassin and focusing his life towards protecting innocent.

She would likely get bored of Grunt constantly asking her about her battles (as he is giddy everytime he hears about violence).

She would respect Miranda because they are so similar.

Jacob would annoy her because he seems to be interested in Asari strippers (same goes for Kaidan and his Asari extranet fetish addiction).

Tali would seem too much like a child (since she was only 17 in the last game but somehow managed to age 7 years within a 2 year time frame).

She would find Mordin odd because she is so articulate when she speaks while he can't form complete sentences.

She would like Kasumi because, well, she told Shepard about how she appreciated Shepard's help.

Well, the punchline was that the line phonetically mirrors the detective's original line; "I never thought I'd see a justicar swear an oath like that".

But eh.

"I never thought I'd see a Justicar as pretty as that swear an oath like that to a human like that"

you may kill me if you want XD

lmao at the Tali comment, and yeh I think Jacob would ruin his chance at the prize by saying something silly like:

Jacob: hey so why do you wear a stripper outfit to battle? doesn't seem all that tactical

Samara: >_>

and I do think she would like Kasumi, because well who doesn't like Kasumi?

JD,

That reminds me of the "glowing headlights" gag from "Top Secret!', if you've seen that movie, and if you know what I'm talking about.

Its because Samara does what is needed:

Samara: Shepard, I think there's something wrong with Legion here, he seems to be malfunctioning

Shepard: I dunno, do something with him while I scratch my ear

Samara: *clocks Legion in the face*

... I must have real strange imagination to cook that one up

He is literally the nicest character in game.  He is nice to the Quarians.  He saves Shepards life twice when they first meet (Shepard usually has to do that for other people).  He always approves of Shepard doing the right thing.  The devs wrote him as the most paragon character in the entire game.

Besides... a robot sidekick is what makes a franchise great:

I don't think she would have anything on the non-Heretic Geth.  From what we've seen, the non-Heretic Geth, in dealing with themselves, have no vices that could violate the Code, for example.  They don't lie, steal, trade illegal items, kill.  The Geth did fabricate a story on the Extranet, so that shows us that they have the capacity to deceive.

Depending upon whether or not you think the Quarians were justified in attacking the newly-sentient Geth, the non-Heretic Geth just want to be left alone to their own, sovereign destiny.   They believe each species has the right to develop in its own way.  They're like the Vulcan in that respect.  They don't look kindly upon spacefaring species meddling in the afairs of species that haven't yet achieved spacetravel.

The Geth might disapprove of the way the Asari seem to be so overzealous and overbearing with their interest in welcoming new species in to the galactic community.  The Asari would probably be okay with a species declining their offer.   The Geth wouldn't like it if members of the galactic community started making their way in to the territory of such a species.  The Asari wouldn't like it, either.

Provided that they're not lying, Legion tells us that the Geth would be more than happy to coexist with the other species if everyone would just stop shooting at them.

There's some guy in the "You should def kill Samara when given the chance...It's worth it!!"  thread (http://social.biowar...index/2766178/1) who claims that Morinth tells Shepard that Samara belonged to a group that wants to see humans erased.  I don't remember Morinth saying anything like this.  I wouldn't trust anything Morinth says, anyway.

Anyone know what he's talking about?
