The inspiration was: It was the continuation of the previous joke, your choice of dark uniform, Samara's bond to/understanding of Shepard and Samara looked like she was looking at Shepard's lower body. Hence the double entendre:

1) Samara notices all your good deeds, just as
2) Samara would notice Jacob's metaphor.

oh and as per the movie topic, I suspect many people would approach Spectres/Justicars etc. for their stories to get movie ideas, although they would have to deal with the sensationalizing to new heights and cliffhanger endings.
