Also, look at what happened with Tali and Garrus once they became romanceable. People violated the sanctity of "bro" status.

Honestly I hope they include one. I may do a character with out the romance.
Yeah i definently would prefer a romance option but i would do both routes just to see what would happen

It would be a shame, since I found Samara to be best new character(s) introduced to the series (can't decide between her or Legion).

The more I think about it, her appearance in ME3 really depends on what plot element they use as a narrative to tell the rest of the story. Clearly the main plot element in ME2 is loyalty missions as building a strong team is the story. At this point I really don't know what is going to be driving the third story that will make squad characters vital, and even if there is something Samara wouldn't really be at the top of the list, as they will have to re-integrate ME1 squads while continuing to build Tali/Garrus. If there is to be something such as Shepard has to unite every race to be as strong as possible then it is likely that having Samara will help a lot. But at this point we really can't know.

This is my first post in this thread, so pardon me if this has already been brought up before - has anyone
else entertained the possibility that if Liara is a recruitable teammate in ME:3 that Samara will become a cameo, simply because the two characters are incredibly similar gameplay wise?

As far as I recall, Liara was some sort of scientist/biotic?
I'd imagine she'll be given a different skill set anyway. Wouldn't be tough at all to distinguish between the two if they follow the current pattern, given squad members have three powers total?
The only similarity is species, which is kind of whatever...

Yeah i really hope she has a larger role in the plot though.
If bioware takes its time they can build a long enough game/plot so alll characters can have good sized roles.

Hmm... not necessarily. Both Samara and Jack served the same purpose as a biotic specialist. If Bioware keeps to the ME2 style of gameplay where characters do not have the same spread of powers, but only a few, then they could make both Liara and Samara different gameplay-wise.
i.e Samara with Throw and Reave, Liara with Pull and Singularity

Rikketik, I believe gave his permission, quite a lot of us are using it and I'm sure that was the intent in making it.

Thanks for letting me know. So, I've caught up on all the pages I missed. I'm so proud of us! We beat our goal of 30 pages by the end of the week. Excellent. On another note, I think I'd like to see Samara have a costume with silver in it. Do you guys think purple would flatter her? I also think giving her glasses would be a bad idea.DirtyVagrant wrote...

Yup, you're right. Would be pretty lame, making a userbar for someone and then won't letting anybody use it.DirtyVagrant wrote...

True. Although the status of Samara as love interest seems tempting at first, I tend to see her more like a sister in arms of a very close friend. I don't have a problem with romancing Tali, mainly because she fell in love with Shepard in the first place. But Garrus would be comparible to Samara indeed. I tried to romance him once, but it just didn't feel right. Like I was forcing it on him. Not the best foundation for a healthy relationship, huh?yorkj86 wrote...
I'd rather keep Samara out of romance territory. Besides the fact that she had to discard her earthly possessions and relationships when entering in to the Justicar Order, I don't think that being a Justicar lends itself particularly well to having loved ones, what with all of the angry, defeated criminals they leave behind in their wake.
Also, look at what happened with Tali and Garrus once they became romanceable. People violated the sanctity of "bro" status.

Who here brings Samara along on all the other missions just to see her imput on it?
For instance bringing her along for Jack's loyalty mission is interesting.
She has dialogue for all the starter missions (after freedom's progress of course) - but none for Horizon, sadface :<
So much activity gives me warm fuzzies inside ^^
I already agree to the idea of her being an LI,

I was just thinking ahead in the future and beyond mass effect 3. The good news about Samara is that, as an asari, and as long as she doesnt die in Me3 (and Me@ i suppose), then she still has around 400 years to live or something? So hopefully even after the shepard trilogy, she may still be able to make appearances in future games when all other human, quarian, salarian characters have passed away.
I'm just sayin'
I never thought about it like that, thats an interesting idea.
Still if she doesn't have a large role in ME 3 Bioware will have failed me.
