A disservice to my Shepard here but...good luck with this one! (its when Jack blows up the bomb while you're still only a few frikkin' miles away)

Jack: The place goes BOOM now hahahaha

Shepard: Samara, its gonna explode, as much as I love explosions, I don't wanna lose you! :crying:

Samara: You won't if we run like hell! RUN SHEPARD!

*both running like hell*

Shepard: AHHHH, hold my hand! Stick close to me Samara

Samara: Why should I hold your hand? It will only slow me down

Shepard: Because if you trip I can pick you up, silly!

Samara: Good point, I think I'll just fly away then *flies away*

Shepard: No don't leave me! O..O

Samara: Oh fine *biotically lifts Shepard away*

*explosion*

Shepard: Haha, nice one Jack.......where's Jack?

Samara: *bows head* may she find peace in the embra-

Jack: I'm right here you p*ssies. You should have seen your faces!

Samara: Shepard, I think we found someone who likes explosions more than you...

Shepard: I wasn't scared...hmph <_<

I think the picture is just a bad joke about how old Samara is, so she could be shepard´s grandmother. Not much more, but the artist certainly is skilled, it is a fine drawing.

Today for the first time i decided to fail Samara mission on purpose. One of my favourite moments in ME2 is talking to Morinth in the club, and picking funny choices like: "if you have heard of it, it is already too mainstream for me". So i did plenty of reload there hehe Well the point is that after failing the mission i went to speak with Samara on the normandy (to see what she would say) and it really made me feel bad about her, it seems like without shepard´s help Samara will never be able to caught Morinth. There is a very good moment when Samara says "We failed. I failed" really good voice acting there.

what does she say right after you fail, do you see her outside Afterlife? I've heard she shows a bit of anger, understandably.

If only Samara wasn't so stoic and unreadable, we might be able to speculate more about her relationship with her mate from just the way she says her words alone.

I assumed that her children were all from the same mate, and that her mate left once they found out their children would all be Ardat-Yakshi.  Bioware has done a poor job of convincing me of how strong the stigma is against Pureblood pairings, but it's the only reason I can think of for Samara's mate leaving her.

Again.... we don't know if her mate was an Asari at all.  Whoever the father(s) were we don't know what species they were from.  There is no information suggesting that Ardat-Yakshi are the result of Asaria pairings.  All we know is that all of Samara's children are Ardat-Yakshi.

"Samara left her mercenary career after that and slowed down, eventually finding stability with an asari mate and raising a family."  ("Samara"  entry, http://masseffect.wi...com/wiki/Samara)

You aren' really advocating a wiki as being reliable are you?  That was put in by a fan and not a developer.  Let me make an account and I will go change that to say a non asari.

Samara's mate was definitely an Asari, just need to determine the conditions of their separation. Was it because the partner was too upset or angry and chose to leave soon after Morinth ran away, or was it after Samara decided she would become a Justicar, effectively ending their relationship.

I'm inclined to think it is the latter. Even though the partner may not have been supportive enough, I think Samara has this personality where people are drawn to her in times of need. She was stronger than her partner, and decided that she would have to act on the horror she unleashed to the world, through no fault of her own.

I'm advocating that a Wiki can be correct, that that Wiki entry is correct, and that there might be something you missed, in-game.

Samara is good.  She's meditating, as usual.   How is everyone's favorite timid Quarian doing?

At the moment, her fans are horribly off-topic. Figured I'd stop by until things get back on track.

So Samara's mate is the topic? Didn't she theorize that the reason pureblooded relationships are frowned upon is because they have a chance at producing Ardat-Yakshi?

Perhaps you should have discussed the matter with Makaveli and I before changing the information on a public repository of information.   If you are incorrect, you could be labeled as a vandal by the admins of that site.

EDIT:  Your change was already reverted.  The admin of that site said that Asari told us herself that her mate was an Asari.

EDIT x2:  And now you're getting in to a passive-aggressive war with the admin...

We're just having a misunderstanding about Samara's mate.  Yup, the prevailing theory about why the Asari frown upon Asari-Asari relationships is because of the chance to produce Ardat-Yakshi.

Samara herself says: "It only occurs in purebloods like myself. Perhaps that is the root of the stigma surrounding Asari-exclusive pairings". So Ardat-Yakshi are all purebloods, I don't see the point in arguing with her own quote

Seems as good of a reason as any.

The off-chance of producing crazy-sex-vampire-babies would kind of develop a stigma, I think.

The problem is the codex, lore, wiki, and what is said by Samara are not consistent with one another.

No, NICK is just saying that Samara is a pureblood, and that in itself makes her likely to birth AY. Her mate had nothing to do with her birthing AY, but for all intensive purposes we think her mate was an Asari.

It's just weird because it's been left to the fans of ME lore to speculate about Asari genetics, instead of Bioware just outright saying how they work.  Depending upon how you analyze Asari genetics, the stigma doesn't make sense.

But he's changing the information on the Wiki without discussing it here, first.

Honestly, I've never understood asari genetics, or even reproduction.

Talking to Liara, reading the codex, talking to Samara...

I still find it difficult to grasp.

That's the problem with technobabble in a soft science-fiction setting, eventually someone gets literal about it, and no one knows what to say, not even the writers.  It's like Trekkies bringing up apparent inconsistencies with certain parts of the Enterprise.  People just have to wonder why anyone would care.

I didn't change anything.   I'm not the admin of that website.   Please check the "History"  page to see who's been changing things.  The quarrel has been between you and Lancer, the head admin of that site.

Indeed.

Suspension of disbelief can only go so far before an explaination is needed.

Exactly, the story does not go as deep as what is discussed in these threads.

And sometimes you just have to go with it, as is the case with Asari genetics.
