Would it help traffic if I linked to a very immature drawing of Samara I made?
Is it the one on your DA page?

Shepard: Wow...not only is Illusive Man spying on us through the ceiling, I think I see his holo down there on the floor of the base
Mordin: Improfessional. Discourteous. Pitiful. Suicide team needs privacy.
Samara: I am so glad I've never had to work under a superior, as a Justicar that is. The only time is when I take the third Oath of Subsumation.
Shepard: You've sworn a Third Oath to someone before me?
Samara: Indeed I have......I'd rather not talk about it
Shepard: I'm jealous Samara! I need to know who it was! TELL ME!
Samara: No, I'm not supp- Oh alright, it was Councillor Tevos. She recruited me personally for a secret mission on Thessia. Work I am extremely proud of.
Mordin: Ladies, time is of essence! Got to move!
Shepard: MOAR, I wanna know MOAR!
Mordin: Hmm....*ponders how to get moving*...................................................SEEKER SWARMS!
Shepard/Samara: FFFUUUUU-

Shepard: Samara! You know what I just figured out?
Samara: What?
Shepard: What indocrination means
Samara: Oh I see....*cue paragon stare* .....*__*
Shepard: And, and, the Reapers have indocrinated the Collectors to do their bidding!
Samara: Oh my, we have to stop them....*___*
Shepard: Right, you know, I can't imagine how awful it must be for people to mindlessly go around doing things others tell them to
Samara:
Shepard: Hmm...I guess not
Samara: Good, little one, you're doing good....*strokes Shepard's hair*..... *_____*
Shepard: Thank you master....0__0

Shepard/Samara: *shooting bad guys*
Shepard: Soooooo, Samara, you think you have a rough estimate on how many baddies you've killed? I venture I'm somewhere around 20,000 myself
Samara: 161,846
Shepard:
Samara: I've been a Justicar for more than 400 years, and before that I was a masterful mercenary and combatant. And I've only counted my kills as a Justicar because...well....
Shepard: Welllllll??? I guess its part of the job?
Samara: No, I like to count them as I go to sleep...<_<
Shepard:
Samara: ............*fires*.... 161,847!
Shepard: Cotdammit, I'm gonna catch up though you just watch
Samara: Good luck with that one

My first, very short, attempt at fanfiction. More to come...
Nice one NICK. Is that a stand alone 'Fic, or will you be expanding on it?
I've thought about writing something, but quite frankly don't have the time nor patience. Couple ideas in my head tho. While I'm at it...YORK! Status update on your pending 'Fics please!

It's only a waste if you've already discussed the topic, but newer posters haven't, so I'm open to seeing what they have to say. I hate when long-time posters to forums start cutting off discussion because they've seen it a dozen times before, as if everyone reading the forum has been reading it from day one and should know all the details already.JohnnyDollar wrote...
^Go ahead, but it may be a waste of a post. Ha ha ha...
Of course, I leave it up to the new posters to bring a topic up for discussion. I'm not going to go "hey, let's talk about asari genetics again" out of the goodness of my heart.

Makaveli, that last captioning was really funny.
Why thank you, I do what I can
LiqGrapes gif is fantabolous! EDIT: oh and I think I know what pic you are talking about...hehehe, I'll leave it up to you to decide if you wanna post XD
And in terms of the future of the thread, as much as I like to joke about it turning into some cesspool of posting random pics with love emoticons, I just think there is a lot of cool people here that won't let it happen. That is all

Back on topic though, I have to say I'm of two minds about having Samara as a LI in the third game. On one hand, it would be interesting to see a romance that unfolded over two games, and I can definitely understand a connection between paragonish Shepards and Samara. Furthermore, Samara has stated that she does have some attraction to Shepard, but that she doesn't think it would be a good idea as of the events of ME2.
On the other hand, I think that a badly done romance would reduce a dignified and complex character to "Samara the cougar." And believe me, after seeing Blandy McHitemwiththegoodstuff's romance, I want nothing to do with a romance where Bioware drops the ball.
That being said, I don't think that sex being a part of the subplot would be a deal-breaker. I almost think that it would be out of character for Samara to just passively succumb to Shepard's advances. I can't really see that dimension being added in any other way than having Samara frankly but respectfully express interest in Shepard; I almost think Shepard should be the one being romanced in this situation.
ADDENDUM: There is, honestly, a third dimension to my mindset on this. It is one that I choose to discount. I've, um, kinda had a thing for blue-skinned women ever since I was 11, and every time I went to watch ST:TOS on SciFi, that Farscape commercial where Zhaan asks "Is nudity a taboo in your culture?" would come on and imprint itself on my barely-pubescent mind. Still, "sweet hot blueberry pie" is not a justification for anything ever, so my actual thoughts on a Samara romance should really not concern this last paragraph of my post.

That's pretty adorable. Is there some earlier story I don't know about concerning a cat on the Normandy, though?

No, there's just a cat, Ralph, on the Normandy, for the purposes of these quickfics. It can be a revealing thing to see how people react to, and treat animals, as opposed to how they treat other people. Also, it can be a challenge of creative writing to try to predict how each character would react to Ralph.

I can't guarantee that I'll be awake for that much longer. Also, as I type, Man Vs. Food is on. The host just ate some really spicy pulled pork sandwich. There's something cruelly entertaining about watching a fat man's upper GI tract undergo trial by fire.

I completley agree on your view of romance, on one hand Samara has expressed some interest in Shepard and i think if it would be very interesting to see if pulled off well, but on the other hand Samara's a heavy risk.... But the Prriiiizze.

Man, I imagine that if Ralph was one of those ornery, standoffish cats, he and Jack would get along great. Perhaps they would even team up to unleash kitty-based torment on Miranda. That's a subject for another thread, though.

Shepard's already expressed interest and been shot down, so I think it makes sense that if a romance were to develop, it's Samara's turn to make the advance.zvbxrpl wrote...

One thing I view about the asari is that I don't think they view sharing one time of intimacy as necessarily a bad thing. I can see Samara wanting to share an intimate moment with Shepard once, just to awknowledge and experience any deep feelings they have developed for each other, but then never taking the romance beyond that.
