I haven't seen anyone else talk about it here yet; what do people think of Samara's music track? Do you think it suits her demeanor?

It's up there as one of my favorite ME2 character themes. I might like the Mordin one a little more.

It's interesting, very ambient, i think it fits her.

I'm actually waiting for my next visit to the US to download the OST, as it can't be done from Canada on amazon... silly copyright legislation!

I like the soundtrack. It's soothing, mysterious, and has its fast parts. The vocals give the song an exotic feel which I think is a perfect comparison to Samara. Easily recognizable from the rest of the OST, just as Samara is easily recognizable from the rest of the Normandy crew. I'm listening to it now by the way.

I think the song is fitting.  It has its quiet moments, and its loud, quick moments, which remind me of Samara.  Shoot things first, meditate later.

The first 15 seconds, with the woman's singing, remind me of Samara.  ~6:35 to ~7:20 remind me of Samara.  It's uncanny.

Unfortunately, some portions of the song seem to have been re-used for other parts of the game, some of which aren't at all related to Samara, and it distracts my ear and my mind when I listen to them.  I associate them with the part of the game, and not Samara.

I think Bioware matched the soundtrack to her pretty well.

I love this character also because she seems more mature then everyone else.

Without a doubt to me.

Would it be unfair to consider Samara as an honorable but ruthless character?

Definitely, she's the only character that has all her emotions under control as well.

I've read the pages I missed and would like to comment on a conversation you guys were having earler-about Samara smiling. I can't help but smile myself when she smiles. It felt good to see her be happy for once. Here is a woman who stays calm and collected at all times; to finally get a reaction from her is quite fulfilling.

I've done every romance in each game and none have felt so natural and special, as the "half-romance" with her.

Hmm...no, not unfair. It is definitely part of her character, but I think it is justified.

You can get her to warm up to you if you talk to her a bit. The bit where she says that if you both survive the mission, you can ask her for help any time and she would come was very sweet. I really like Samara (not as a LI since there are plenty already, but that's my opinion).

One of the reasons I like Samara so much is because her character combines knowledge of history with the intelligence and wisdom to tell her stories well (and it doesn't hurt that her voice can both command attention and inspire calm).

If Samara is ~900 years old:
She was there when the Drell ruined Rakhana.
She was there when the Hanar saved the Drell.
She was there when the Quarians fled Rannoch.
She was there when humans discovered the Prothean cache on Mars.
She was there when humans discovered the Arcturus Relay.
She was there during the First Contact War.

I want to hear what she knows.

Yes, put in the dialog Bioware!  Add it to a DLC!

Sorry if you guys want to move away from the music, but here are a couple more music jobbies, taken from her missions.

And going back to you, Its a characteristic that I quite like from Samara, makes it all the more special that she hasnt destroyed you! Its nice to know that a deadly, ruthless woman warms to you, just another reason why she is so awesome!

There are so many things we could talk about with Samara. She is really an invaluable team mate for advice. I always feel like ME2 didn't provide enough dialogue with her.

Sadly that is true for a lot of characters, even those returning. Garrus and his damn calibrations can go to hell!

Yes! How many calibrations can those guns need? Speaking of dialogue, what did you guys think of the cinematics and location of Samara's dialogue on the Normandy? The Space background was cool and I liked how Samara made you sit down sometimes. The romance dialogue was quite stunning to watch.

How about whenever you try the paragon and offer your sympathy about her children and she rejects it?

I can't give it verbatim, but I think it is when you first talk to her about Morinth and her loyalty quest.  If you pick the top right in the dialog wheel, Shep will say "Oh I'm so sorry" and Samara will say "No I don't want your pity".

It's not that (I remember that line.) What do you mean about that specific part though.

Edit: I rewatched the scene on Youtube and it is quite striking. The sorrow she expresses is heart-breaking. I saw something new in the video. Samara asks you if you want to leave and the player said he wanted to look around first. Samara says, "Very well. I will remember the day of Morinth's birth. Tell me when you are ready." I have never heard this before. How saddening. Posted Image
