I just found a nifty oil painting in my neighbors trash. What should I do with it?

Is it of Samara?!

Sadly no. It's an old painting of a snow covered lake house. I think the signature says the artist's name is I. Longe. It could be the house Samara tried settling in to.

Keep it for the time being.  Try to find out how much it is worth.  People buy items and antiques from garage sales for a few dollars, and they later find them to be rare and hold a high value.

:crying:  So, ask him if you can keep it?    Do you want it?

JD had to point us towards that Ardat-Yakshi thread the other day didn't he.... now I got myself sucked into useless arguing with someone who know less about Asari genetics than the people in the Samara thread.

I took and its now hanging on my wall, probably shouldn't have drilled a hole into my wall though. It looks pretty nice. I'm going to research the artist but I can't really read his signature.
EDIT: I typed the artists name on ebay and the only result was a painting worth 130 USD

I don't dare step in there for that reason...I'm scared of all the fire being flung around

Besides, I don't do genetics =P

It's ok... they act like Krogan and Vorcha... and fire is the easiest way to kill Krogan and Vorcha.

Hmm, just thought, even though the Talinth are similar to the Asari, many don't agree to the idea of mating outside their own species. They prefer keeping to their own kind. Maybe something to do with how Talinth interact with each other...

If an Asari brought up the arguement of new genetic material a Talinth would bluntly ask them if they were so worried about the weakness of their species that they required the help of another race. "We wish to keep our people pure." =P

I thought it was already established that they specifically do not take new genetic material from the fathers?

I think they've established that the asari don't get anything from their dads. But the markings on their faces might be a sign of mixed race, since the two pure bloods we know don't have them. Unless liara's pencil eyebrows count as markings.

Matriarch Aethyta has no facial markings, and her pa is a Krogan, as she tells us.  I think that the facial markings are cosmetic, aesthetic, non-genetic.

As an aside, I think I'm going to create an image macro to be used in response to stupid posts that says:  "THIS POST MAKES ABOUT AS MUCH SENSE AS ASARI GENETICS."

Asari genetics makes BlackMetal's brain twist into a ball of yarn and then explode just a little bit.

I was in the presidium in ME2, and I found a picture of Kaidan Alenko on Anderson's desk. It creeped me out. But I don't know if Ashley's picture will be there if she survived Virmire,
