Best possible cameo? Maybe you are hunting someone down who has found a reaper relic or something and the person is also being hunted by Samara for being corrupt. Then you go around trying to find them while your conversations with Samara expose her post-ME2 activities. i'd still prefer her to be a squadmate than a cameo, even if it's the best possible type.aamy wrote...
think of the best possible cameo Samara could have in ME3...
mine would include more of her "biotic gliding" and tossing people around, complimented with a nice long conversation about what she has done wit herself since ME2

I wouldn't mind just stumbling upon her while investigating some criminal who has significance to the plot.

I know, out of everyone it's Wrex who manages to actually make you feel the most welcomed. Talk about unexpected, but very nice.
I still want the chance to have the same squad in ME3 as you had in ME2 with the addition of a few people from ME1. I want to focus on building alliances aka DA style such as arranging for a cease fire between the geth and the quarians. Introducing the Geth and Rachni to the Council as new races who wish to ally themselves. Doing something nice for the Krogans etc.

Interesting, as most of our discussions about Samara have centered around ethics, law-enforcement and inner anguish...Mikazukinoyaiba2 wrote...
Good to see this thread still alive, if only the Legion support thread was as well but I suppose there isn't as much to discuss when it comes to Legion since he doesn't inspire fan-art and sexual fantasies.
I'm amazed Legion hasn't raised similar philosophical debates. Mind you, I've seen some pretty rabid "blast them toasters" rethoric about the Geth in general... To many, machines will always be machines (pretty much like Admiral Xen believes). I find this a sad example of how little progress education has made among humanity in general...
John von Newman's main contribution to mathematics included a demonstration that, in non zero sum games, the winning mathematical strategy is to start with a generous move, then reciprocate ******-for-tat. The (non-heretical) Geth therefore have a logical, mathematical reason to seek peaceful coexistence with organics; as this is a winning strategy for all parties concerned. Peace, with no emotions to cloud the path to it, as Legion would no doubt agree.

I'm starting an infiltrator playthrough to try out the incisor and have a single shep for ME3 incase of a samara romance. Do you think whether or not you played ME1 will have an effect on the samara relationship in ME3?
I guess it all depends on how the ME1 romances are treated in ME3.
Also, you sound awfully certain that Samara will be romanceable in ME3

Perhaps that's just a no altogether, though I'd like to see if that remains the same if you don't push Samara and are content to be friends. I think that it would be pretty cool if the only way there could be a Samara romance would be if you gave her space and didn't go for the almost-kiss or the suggestion of casual sex. It would, also, be a satisfying middle finger to the player who approach all female squaddies with the attitude of, "Yeah, but can I bang her?"
Of course, the romance would have to be less perfunctory than those in ME2, and I think that Samara should take the lead--she would romance Shepard if (insert satisfactory condition here, preferably choosing the friendship option in ME2), and the player could return her affection or not.
Anyway, if they pull the romance off in a way that gives Samara dignity and doesn't overshadow the other interesting aspects of her character*, whatever the specifics , I'd really want it, but if they mess it up, I will be the pissed-offiest internet curmudgeon in a long history thereof.
As for the whole "Samara's chest" issue, I'm glad that there isn't a slew of "Dat cleavage" posts cluttering up the thread.** Besides, Samara's most attractive feature is her strong jawline. (Though I do appreciate that her breasts are modeled in a way that makes it look like they have some realistic weight, even a tiny bit of sagging to them. Seriously, whoever thought flagrantly artificial cleavage was anything but off-putting has ruined sexy women for all of us).
*For an example of a character whose romantic subplot stomped all over the interesting aspects of her character, look no further than Tali, Her relationship with her father, her attitude toward Legion, and Quarian politics in general all had the potential to be really interesting character arcs. But those are barely touched on, and instead all we get in ME2 is that she's a shy nerd with a schoolgirl crush on her commanding officer. Which is, as Click and Clack the Tappett Brothers say, bo-o-o-o-GUS. Oh, and we get a stupid retcon where Quarian immunodeficiency is suddenly beatable with some herbal supplements and antibiotics, all for the sake of a goddamn implicit sex scene.
**Seriously, can you imagine if Samara's breasts were fetishized like Miranda's behind and Tali's hips? (ok, fine, Tali's everything.)

When Kasumi says the line, she sounds surprised, and that's superb, because she sounds surprised that Shepard would even try it with Samara. Even she admits that Samara has such a huge presence, both physically, and by her personality. Kasumi, the woman who makes a career from being cunning and observant, sounds as if she knows that Shepard made a mistake.

This. Plus I agree with your entire post, it sums up my attitude towards this issue. Even if there isn't a romance, I hope there is a difference in Samara if you chose to stay with the friends option. An example: if you chose to stay friends, she will share her emotions and opinions and would go to you for help if she needed it, but if you chose to push the romance she will be hesitant to share anything with you, and act distant around you.zvbxrpl wrote...

Well, if we're speculating on a romantic subplot with Samara in ME3, I think there's something of a hint from BioWare in a piece of Kasumi's dialogue. From the Wiki: "If Shepard tries to romance Samara, Kasumi will tell Shepard that someone saw Samara leaving her room really upset, stating that a relationship with her will not happen."

Lots of good points there, i quite agree that they need to make a romance that doesn't disrespect her character and that her Breasts, though big, are still acceptable and not overdone llike Miranda's ass.

After helping out Samara, she approaches you and tells you how much she appreciates your help and says something along the lines of what she said during her loyalty mission "only soul I can imagine sharing it with."
Then a whole bunch of similar lines that I had thought of, then got distracted while typing this and forgot. Maybe something about trying to settle down again after the reapers, like "The thought of starting a family has not yet left my mind, and with you, I would not need to worry about my children being Ardat-Yakshi. You have lifted many burdens from me, I could not imagine sharing a family with any other soul." (I tried to make that as close to something she would say as possible)
And the rest of the romance dialogues will consist of meditating and back story sharing, if bioware stays with the talk-talk-talk-talk-romance before final mission. Also, if bioware does the "call up to cabin" again, Samara's choices would be meditate under the window, and sit on the couch. But she wouldn't be sitting on your lap, she would be sitting across from you talking.

I think it's good that Kasumi has a line for Samara, in that situation. It gives an outsider's perspective. It makes the player realize that perhaps he's made an error.

Would choose that, every time, whee meditating
I actually managed to do that every morning for a while, but then a wrench was thrown into my emotional works and I got distracted from it. Maybe I should start getting in the habit of it again. *taps chin*
It was nice early in winter morning with crisp air coming in from the window. I always had a very quiet track from Assassin's Creed playing.
