I thought that we all came to an agreement that we can't agree on Asari genetics.... because doing so is like trying to divide by zero or trying to get the square root of a negative number.

Here is something asari related I came across... if morinth dies there is only 2 known ardat-yakshi left according to Samara, according to the codex 1% of asari are, and according to the food guy on the citadel and the description of wine on illium there is a monastery of them. So Samara was either wrong, lying, or deceived by the asari media (which according to the wiki happens). Yay for double checking facts before publishing a game!

Yes, Ardat-Yakshi are given the option of entering Asari monasticism.  Presumably, that's where the rest of them are.  Samara herself knows of 3 Ardat-Yakshi, her daughters.  There is no conflict, then, if the player pays attention to the Codex, and what Samara says.

But so does Shepard, and after the reapers are defeated, he can join her. And Samara will probably help Shepard until it is all over. With all the implants and cybernetics, Shepard might even live a century or two, we don't really know yet.

She never really seems traumatized, but she probably is. The only reason her last relationship failed was because of the ardat-yakshi children, but since shepard is human she doesn't need to worry about that.

What Shepard does after the Reapers are defeated is uncertain, and up to the player.  He may die, he may keep doing what a badass hero does, or he may buy a quiet plot of land somewhere remote and never pick a weapon up again.

Samara, though, has dedicated her life to Justicar'ing.  Justicars work alone.  "When I die, it will not be in bed.  I am at peace with this."  It would be romantic to have Samara extend her observation of the Third Oath of Subsumation to allow herself to fight crime with Shepard, though :3

Does she say that before or after killing Morinth?  Because, as I've said before, it would make a lot of sense for Samara's certainty about a lot of things, such as her purpose as a justicar, to become less pronounced.  Most of what you say is 100% legit and probably canon if we're just talking about Mass Effect 2.  However, Samara is the character I see as most susceptible to a lot of big changes in ME3, for reasons I posted last night.  That's why, even though a romance in the current game would be jarring and unbelievable, I'm keeping an open mind for the trilogy's final volume.

I mean, just look at what happened to Garrus--all his doubts about C-Sec that were discussed or hinted at in the first game exploded into a big character change in the second.  I feel like it would be a dropped ball by Bioware if Samara did not undergo some character development following the events of her loyalty mission.  And that doesn't mean a willingness to romance Shepard is a must.  It just means that that option is one thing BioWare could concievably change (certainly not the only one, unless we want a repeat of Tali in Mass Effect 2) about Samara's character in the next volume and have it work with her character arc.

She says that before killing Morinth, I believe. It's just a regular conversation option.

I would like to see some character development with Samara in ME 3. Not as radical as Garrus's but still some change.

It's very nice. I like the lighting chosen. Seems right somehow. I think the right costume for her was used as well; her orginal one would be jarring with respect to the background colors...my opinion anyways.

Yes, it fits with the grey concrete of the buildings that make up the Illium cityscape.  The red suit draws attention in places with sterile and dreary colors.

Does no one else have anything else to say on this thought experiment? Forgive Me Mother

1. Samara has tracked Morinth down to Omega, and is investigating a
crime which looks kind of sloppy for Morinth's standards. Is she losing
her touch, or something more?

2. Its easy for Samara to find
Morinth, but when she does, Morinth totally breaks down and asks for
forgiveness and mercy, ignoring that Samara is a Justicar and playing on
the fact that she is her mother.

3. Samara is briefly staggered
by the emotional context of the situation, and realizes that she is
compelled to honor justice.

4. Morinth is her smartest, wisest,
strongest daughter. The reason this all began, and the reason she is a
Justicar.

5. Is Morinth genuine in wanting to end this madness?

6.
Or is she simply doing what is necessary to trap and take out her
biggest threat?

Kasumi: ugh, SCANS! I haven't had to be scanned in a looong time...by choice ofcourse

Shepard: that's because you're a space ninja that's always infiltrating places, its cute and all but if you're law abiding like me and Samara you go in through the front door and take that scan right Samara? ^_^

Samara: As a Justicar I haven't had to succumb to any security briefs in a very long time. That is, until I left Asari space.

Kasumi: They let you just waltz in over there? Sounds like ninja heaven

Shepard: Well...I guess that's cool for Asari Space...but you know you have to follow security protocols outside, its important

Samara: Yes, like the time in Illium when I had to remove my head crests because they detected too much Palladium <_<

Shepard: I thought they were made of Samarium* ^_^ but Palladium ...whoa that's a premium mineral!

Kasumi: shh you might alert them

*Samarium is actually a mineral! Check the wiki: http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Minerals :D

Samara may very well replace Tali as the biggest tease in Mass Effect if they don't make her a romance option.

For a sec there I thought you were talking about her head tentacles...Posted Image I imagined her separating them from each other to reveal a chunk of palladium on her head. Posted ImagePosted Image

Swimwear Thoughts-> (not at all serious)

Garrus - I can see him in swimming trunks
Tali - some variation of a wetsuit
Miranda - tiny, tiny black bikini (you know it)
Jacob - speedo (MY EYES!)
Zaeed - trunks
Kasumi - ...wetsuit with a hood...?
Legion - scared of water
Mordin - wetsuit
Grunt - trunks
Thane - scared of water
Jack - bikini?

Samara - ???

Before anyone accuses me of being a horny teenager (which is only half true...) these thoughts came to mind because I was messing around in the small swimming pool we have yesterday. The day was warm, and it was the first time I had been swimming at all. I'm usually a fish, but I've not had the chance to swim in a few years.

So while I was messing about, I suddenly started imagining a day at the pool with the ME2 crew =P or a day at the beach, either way XD

Samara, probably a one-piece suit, or something with a very fancy, very Asari design.  Or, if we're going to get silly with the "Samara-as-an-old-woman" sentiment, those old-fashioned, late-1800s full-body swimsuits that women used to wear, that show practically nothing, complete with swimming cap.
