Jack definitely. She seems like the one that the code would command Samara to kill. Maybe Miranda, it depends on what projects she worked on. If the project was Akuze, Pragia, or something similar, then the code would probably have her killed too.Pacifien wrote...
I'm going with the pessimistic side of things tonight, so instead of thinking who Samara would get along with on the ship, who do you think she wouldn't get along with? Not outright hate or dislike, but someone she would hold at arm's distance. Neither friend nor foe.

Hmm, Zaeed & Jack maybe? Not sure about Kasumi, but I know that she wouldn't get along with Morinth at all.Pacifien wrote...

Jacob... that dude loves strippers. As we know... Asari seem to be the only stippers in the game.
He would follow her around yelling "heavy risk" and "priiize" throughout the entire game. That is the real reason Shepard has Jacob in the armory... it is away from all the other female squadmates.

why don't we have a Samaritan spammer? he could infiltrate these other threads with *looks around, sees others' disapproval*...nevermind
I think even if there was someone she didn't get along with, it would be hard to notice cause she would be civil towards this person indirectly because of the Third Oath. But if I were to guess...Thane, because he doesn't seem to have the concept of accountability, and accountability is what Samara deals with on a day to day basis.

Shepard is like the parent, and Samara is like the grandmother, and maybe zaeed as the grandfather? It's one big happy family of bad ass murderers!Pacifien wrote...
But Grunt is such a cuddly krogan. She probably wants to make him soup and tuck him in at night and make pretty sparkly biotic storytime for him. And he'll be like "Tell me about how you slaughtered that village again!"

It's interesting to think that Jack and Samara were done by the same writer.
I dunno, the characters are kind of different, but the ways in which they were presented are *very* similar. When I found out it totally made sense.

Knowing they were written by the same person does explain alot about how their loyalty quests were presented and worked out. Samara and Jack have two of my favorite loyalty quests.
..and they're my least favorite characters, by far. Makes sense at least.

Sometimes I really want to dive into why someone doesn't like a character, but it's hard to get a grasp on their point of view when I know I do like the character. Plus, gets annoying when you try to describe why you don't like someone and then people decide to do the point/counterpoint argument to tell you that you're wrong.Terraneaux wrote...

Really? Because I always considered Samara one of the best written characters of all time and shes my second favorite character in ME2, but I never really liked Jack. I don't really know how to word this, it's like... what she says is predictable. It will be something about crimes with a whole bunch of "f**k you" thrown into it. And her change from hard ass to crying came to fast IMO.AshiraShepard wrote...

I don't agree with most of the above, but it does serve to remind us that we shouldn't cutesify Samara any more than we should cutesify Jack, because in doing so, we completely miss an extremely important part of their characters.

Down Below (Chapter One)
Its light humor mixed in with some mystery, and Samara will have a role to play at some point ; )
I'll be stepping out for a bit, hope you all enjoy!
