Here we go!

It hurts me when she says, "Don't pursue this, please."

When she turns Shepard down for the final time and puts a hand on his shoulder before walking away, you can almost see her uncertainy in her eyes, though she remains calm and composed.  Samara is flattered that Shepard would be so forward with her, but she's probably in mental torment because of how close she came to violating her tenets.

Possibly could also be in mental torment regarding her desire to violate her tenets.  A confirmation to her belief and faith that has tested her own convictions.

Maybe put off to Shepard, that he would keep pushing her like he does in that scene.

To anyone who's paid attention to her character, I think the scene is meant to be painful to watch in multiple ways, simultaneously.

It was painfull, i felt sorry fro her because it did seem like she wanted it but her own morals kept her from doing what she wanted.

Samara has disciplined and contained her powers only to be unleashed against the unjust and unworthy.

I think I have more of my own screenshots of Samara than of any other character.  I set up my party on the last stage of the suicide mission so that she would slide off of the platform, and Shepard would catch her, so that I could get pictures of it.  I also have some pictures if you edit a save-file to bring Samara on Mordin's recruitment mission.  She starts coughing, talking about how potent the plague must be if it can effect even her so quickly.  Mordin gives her the cure, of course.

We all know that Samara had a real-life face model, yes?  There are more pictures where this came from.

If she isn't wearing colored contacts, then I would be a little surprised.  I have never seen
a pair of eyes that color before that I recall.

Actually, that started me wondering about how the creative team goes about designing a character. Did they spawn from a rough sketch by the Project Lead Casey Hudson and were fleshed out as needed? Or were they the product of a particular writer, who merged his creation in with the rest of the cast?

I might check that out.  I have a question for you though.  I have gibbed save editor and can put any character on the ship that I want.  Will it screw up your game later on though?  For example: What does adding Samara earlier to the squad do to her actual recruitment mission.

If you use the save-editor to have a character on your team before you do the Freedom's Progress mission, the save-file will cause the game to crash every time you use it.  It doesn't like it if anyone other than Jacob and Miranda are on your team at that point in the game.   I heard that bringing anyone to their own recruitment mission can cause the game to crash.

The above are easy to avoid.   You just have to be mindful.

After reading the previous posts I've become curious. How old is everyone (if you don't mind me asking)?

Her mission was there in the journal, but the actual mission itself wasn't there for me. Had to remove her before I could do the mission to get her =P *shrug*

17 years old here, and will be 18 in Dec...I have a long time to wait.

Ok, so you put her in with the save editor and did some missions.  Then when her recruitment mission came up in the journal and you landed on Illium, you couldn't start the mission?  You took her out with the save editor and then did her recruitment mission with no problems?

AshiraShepard, I'm 17 too. I'll be 18 in October. Cool, I wanted to see if there is a trend regarding Samara's fans. Nice to see diversity.

Edited for grammar.

Exactly. When speaking to Liara when Samara was still around, I could only ask about Thane, and officer Dara just had a generic "interact" line. Removed Samara, left planet, went back; talked to Liara, talked to Dara, did mission with no problems. :)

Ok cool.  Perhaps the same type of scenario can be used with most of the squadmates put in early through the save editor.

You guys are lucky...X-Box player here. I wish Samara was recruitable from the start. So much valuable time with her is lost.

*cuddles her laptop* Hopefully Alienware will be coming next...

Btw, for the deep thinkers in this thread, an articulate fellow gave Shepard a line he/she could have used to counter Samara's "In another time, another life."

How do you imagine Samara would have reacted, or how the scene would have played out, had we been able to say-

"I'm already on another life."

Stolen a kiss just a second before Shepard gets his/her neck snapped? =P
Just curious...

Guys on pc. here is the thread for recruiting anyone. it comes with some minor glitches, but i think its worth it. you won't have to keep using the save editor, just one hex edit after freedom's progess is all.
