I like how you wrote Morinth's indifference, and slight hostility, to the news. You seem like you want the Morinth we see in ME2 to start developing early in her career as a fugitive.

sorta kinda, I was trying to depict a young believable Morinth. one who still clings to fierce pride in herself and embellishes her capacity to be independent. she is in her mind unfairly cast aside from society, and doesnt want to wait to see what she'll miss.

oh and thx for reading :)

I've already read it, so you know what I think Mak

*ahem*

Chapter Ten of Pariah

 From Morinth's third person POV this time.

Thought I'd ask for some opinions from my fellow Samarites. I rewrote Ch. 19 of my story. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5768891/19/Who_Saves_the_Hero
in preparation for Ch. 23 and was wondering what people thought of the change.

PS. its the second part of the chapter that's new, I just streamlined the first half and took out some redundant sentences.

Does anyone else think a Samara DLC pack would be amazing?

Kinda liked what they did with DO: Lealiana's song but it focuses on Samara's justicar adventures

That concept sounds neat. Actually, I have always wanted to go on a seek and destroy mission with Samara, where we track down a rogue Justicar.

I'm wondering how she would respond to Liara's mission.  It is supposed to be the first post-end game mission... so Samara is no longer bound by the third oath.  Do you think she would agree with Liara's decisions?  Do you think that she feels that the Shadow Broker is a threat?

You sure it's post Collector Base?  I doubt we will get any response.  If past DLC is any indication, there won't be any dialog between existing squad members, most likely.

If there is dialog, then I doubt it will be much, if anything.  You take Samara to Zaeed's mission for example, and she says nothing.

If it's post Collector Base, then she would presumably make another oath, or she would leave the ship and no longer be under Shepard's command.  Also, Samara is dead in some players' save files, as well as all of the other squadmembers post Collector Base.  That in itself seems to make her and any other squad members as not playing any role other than "that squad mate that you pick to be in your team" for the DLC mission.

As far as Samara reacting to Liara's decisions go, we'll have to see what those decisions are, but I don't see any of the current squadmembers reacting to what is going on in the DLC mission.  I imagine that it's going to be centered around the SB, Liara, and Shepard.

With that said, we'll just have to wait and see what actually happens.:D

True... but I was speaking in more of a hypothetical situation. I highly doubt we will get anyone besides Liara, whoever is playing the Shadow Broker and Shep speaking. Also... Thane would have an interest in getting the Shadow Broker as well.

Hypothetically? I don't know. It just depends on the circumstances. As far as we know, the Justicar Order has not been very concerned with capturing or killing the SB up to this point in time.

Well the Shadow Broker has been shown to be interested in more than just information now. He wanted to sell Shep's body to the Collectors.

On a completely unrelated thing... what animals do you think the ME squadmates resemble most (personality or otherwise)?

Samara - Mountain Lion

Morinth - Black Widow or Praying Mantis

Grunt - Grizzly Bear

Wrex - Lion

Mordin - Earth Worm (Jim)

Even if this DLC does serve to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3, I don't really see how it would at all matter to Bioware.  They seem keen on ignoring serious consequences for the sake of storytelling.  They could just hand-wave away any questions that come up that ask about why TIM's still sending Shepard mail, if he blew up the Collector base.

As for animals...I don't know, might Jack be a wolverine or Tasmanian devil?

Since the consequences of this DLC will probably an email and altered dialogue in ME3, I doubt they are going to have any squad member conversations. I'm just hoping for a better look at the stance of the Liara-Shepard romance in ME2.

I'm not too concerned with the lack of consequences, since bioware still makes it an amazing game. As for the TIM email situation, does Shepard ever leave cerberus? I haven't played in a while and can't remember.

As for the animals, I always saw Grunt as a puppy.

Shepard cuts his/her ties to Cerberus if the base is destroyed, all but telling TIM to shove it.

Besides, it was already said that this was going to be the last DLC before they started on the Bridge DLC, so its not Post-SM.

@Kudara

I really liked the addition to that chapter :)

Ms Bair has Samara's eyes (which are told to be the mirror of the soul)... I wasn't surprised to see a resemblance, even if the face was modeled on someone else. Great picture!

Probably Wolverines, as they are solitary, Devils occasionally feed together. Wolverines will intimidate larger predators away from a kill (wolves and cougars) and at least one tried to do so with a black bear (and died in the attempt).

I thought BioWare never told us if it was going to be post-SM or not.

I would venture a guess that it is post SM, if it wasn't then that would irk me, knowing that they couldn't finish this mission in time for the game and made us pay extra for it a few months later, while botching a character..but ehh no biggie

I don't expect any squad content, but I think Samara would be keen on seeing the fate of the Shadow Broker. I'm sure there is many things he/she is involved in that directly and indirectly affected Samara's pursuit of the unjust and infringed upon the Code since she's been out of Asari space. I believe the Shadow Broker to be near the top of Samara's execution list.

That's what I want to know.  If there isn't a source, then it's nothing more than speculation.

Glad you liked it, I suspect we will be seeing Spectre Vasir as a re-occuring character
