Maybe they just like drawing hot female characters naked, completely separate of their understanding of the character (if they have any).

You should spot the offending image pretty quickly.

Now excuse me while I load a truck full of molotovs and find where the artist lives...

Uhh..maybe I'm blinded, but I don't see any offending image concerning Samara there...

I found another one of these pictures drawn by someone who can't possibly properly appreciate Samara's character.  This one involves fetishism.

I feel guilty bumping the Samara thread with posts talking about pictures that are disrespectful to Samara :?

Our own Sianosea (spelling?) has been one of the folks talking sense there. I dumped a giant wall of text as my two very drawn-out cents. It's still a thread that, on some level, is about boobs, so there's a lot of immature dribble as well as good discussion.

As to Ashira's image, I'm afraid that this the nature of the internet. Rule 34 and all that. It's a pain, but if you get outraged every time there's porn of a character you like that strips that character of all dignity or defining features, well, you're gonna be angry most of the time. Yes, it does suck.

One thing that I noticed that kind of ticked me off, is that Captain Enyala asks if Cerberus lets its operatives run around, dressed like "****s", referring to Miranda's suit.  Bioware's throwing all kinds of mixed signals at us regarding asari views on sexuality. Either it was intentional, and Bioware is saying that asari views on sexuality are as mixed as human views on sexuality, or their signals are crossed on the matter.

EDIT:  Typo.

I think the problem with Samara and Asari in general is that people judge them based on rl standards in their own society, rather then try to understand what Asari society is truly like.

From what I read in the codex Asari don't place much value on heavy armor because:

A) They don't like to engage in heavy front line firefights like Krogans or Turians do

B) They rely on their supstantial biotic powers and barriers to keep them safe from harm

In light of that, Samara's outfit doesn't come across as strange. I wouldn't mind seeing how she looks in some kind of Justicar or Asari armor, but her current outfit is just fine.

Probable Reasons For Samara's Costume:

> Heavy biotic sheilds renders armor useless to her, and she would rather fight with less encumbrance and more flexiblity

> Justicar special costume from ancient times, coincides with differing views on Asari's sexuality

> Tactical advantage, Samara's bluebies absorb massive amounts of damage and biotic barrier is more focused there :P

> Asari mind control/distraction purposes :P

> Bioware designers thought she looked "pretty hot" in it

I wish she did have Barrier, outside of cutscenes. Samara's a bit squishy.

I miss the biotic aura from ME1.  I wish the barrier aura was similar to how Shepard and compans looks when they fire biotics.

Wardrobe Malfunction (a short story)

Samara: Yes

Shepard: Your clothes are falling off

Samara: What? Where?

Shepard: Hahaha! Gotcha ^_^

Samara: Oh, Shepard?

Shepard: Yea?

Samara: Your casual attire...its embarrasing

A ME2 DLC and DA:O DLC on the same day... I love bioware. Since BioWare made DLC for three of their characters, maybe a Samara DLC is in reach? Except I heard lair of the shadow broker is the 2nd to last DLC for mass effect 2. :crying:

Where'd you hear that?  As for people who are fans of characters of lesser popularity, I guess all we can hope for are some spoken, non-dialogue lines from our favorite Justicar.

Seconded.  I would like to know the source for that.

I'll be surprised if we get anything more from Samara, other than "your power is mine".  :D

I'd say at this point "new" Samara dialogue is a reach.

Although cutscenes where the squad does random stuff like rounding up dead bodies isn't too much to ask ;)

The single lines Samara says on the new DLC missions, are those just recycled?
