Okay Mak, she does or did, have dancing dresses...XD

Spoilers? I think, I don't know...just don't read if not played SB DLC.

On a seperate note, reading that dossier on Samara kind of just brought it home even harder how completely her life was crushed. Now I want to hug her even more :crying:

And on a "writer's angst" note; THEY GAVE HER DAUGHTERS NAMES! I was freaking out as I read it and then they gave Morinth her real name. The last few chapters of Pariah just went out the freakin' window Posted Image

Is it wrong I liked my names better?

See, I wasn't lying about the dance dresses ^_^

Yes, that Dossier perhaps answered a bulk of the questions regarding:

- Samara's verbal justification of why she took this path

- Identity and personality of the daughters, plus Morinth's real name

- Her "final" conversation with her daughters?

- Steps into becoming a Justicar: First Oaths of Solitude (or did we know about these?)

- Samara's worldly possessions ranging from personally significant to amusingly trivial

And not to mention that awesome vid of her chasing that women down in Illium :o

ahem...where do we begin?

XD. That's a good one. I'm going to return to the the SB base so I can re-read the Samara info, since I was in a rush last time. Well after I continue my complaining about witch hunt and it's bugginess.

I loved the banter between Shepard and Liara through the whole thing, it made me lol quite a few times.

!Spoilerz!

"Truck!"

"I know..."

"Ahh!"

"Relax, hehe."

"You're enjoying this..."

Of course! Its a freakin' car chase! 8D

"What kinda guns does this thing have?!"

"Its a taxi!"

Hacking into the door on the SB ship.

"Liara, tell me you tested that thing!"

and-

"Their attacks are disorganized, they could do more damage if they attacked all at once."

"You mind not giving the mercenaries ideas?"

last wave.

"Here's the next wave, it looks like a big one!"

"You just had to give them tactical advice!"

So. Was it ethical, from a roleplaying standpoint, to view the private data? I say "no".

I like Samara. I disliked Bioware for having that 'romance' bit, for my canon Femshep that had finally found a character she liked. I re-liked Bioware for the Dossier information. Actually made me feel sad.

Although I was re-running through with my canon Femshep and I went and talked to Samara about her loyalty mission I was hoping for something like this:

Slight Spoliers Below

Samara: Shepard, I need to talk to you about something. The criminal I was hunting when we met...
Kiara Shepard: It's your daughter
Samara: How did you...
Kiara Shepard: You have three of them. You became a Justicar to hunt one of them
Samara: But...
Kiara Shepard: I know there names [I can't remember the names so insert them here]. The other two are in exile.
Samara: ...
Kiara Shepard: And you took the Oath of Solitude so you can't speak to them. In the year 1775 (I think...)
Samara: :o
Kiara Shepard: And those possessions you gave up, man that's a bit of a shame ;)
Samara:
Kiara Shepard: So where is she? Also, why are we hunting her exactly?
Samara:

*suddenly doesn't feel so confident about her current one-shot* And it was going to be emotionally beautiful... :crying: but I had no intention of Shepard stating what she had read.

What if it was an accident? Just reading through the information and stumbling on it?

You know that kind of thing you stumble upon and once you start reading you can't stop?

Of course, you don't then go and tell the person you just read about.

If I were to stumble upon the data, I would stop reading it. I'd rather have neither mens rea nor actus reus, than have actus reus, by continuing to read. It's just akratic. Fancy words!

mens rea...wha?

Does this mean my Shepard is a horrible person? :<

No, wait, don't answer that. I'll probably just cry :crying:

Only if he/she goes up and says "HAHA! You can't speak to your daughters"

I don't think there's an option for that...

I'm thankful for that, because I know some spiteful bastards would do it.

Mens rea = guilty mind, actus reus = guilty act, formerly the two components necessary for a person to be convicted of a crime.  You didn't have the intent to look at the private data, but there it was, and you knew it was wrong to keep reading, but you kept reading anyway, thus giving you the guilty act.

This, of course, assumes that looking at the data is wrong, which is debatable itself.

So no, it doesn't necessarily mean that your Shepard is a horrible person

There is also that. Which I would watch with great delight XD

*ahem* Just...something, from second 'scene' of the one-shot I'm working on >.>

-----

Kasumi’s frown deepened, “a moment ago you wanted nothing more than to help her, now you’re not so sure?”

The soldier was quiet for a moment, and closed her eyes as she barely whispered her next words, “how do you help someone who’s as strong as you are? Maybe even stronger,” her hands clenched slowly, and relaxed just the same, “perhaps I should’ve kept my feelings to myself in the first place; I guess you were right about this.” A burst of pain spread from her heart and all over her body, remembering Kasumi’s words of doubt about anything happening between her and Samara at all. At the time she had been irritated, saddened, hurt, and most of all feeling like a ******. Now though, it seemed as if she should’ve listened.

Don't post fanfic!

It makes me want to write some about ME2 from my Shep's point of view.

And I don't have the time nor the talent...

Samara says stop crying.

I didn't bring Samara to the final mission. I'll bring her next time. I brought Grunt, which I regret, not because he's bad, but because the mission calls for people with AoE, since the design of the level is so claustrophobic.

I prefer the black outfit too. Her ornaments match and it simply looks better, black and gold.

And I don't like the thought that I've upset someone :< so that kind of distresses me.

Unless it came from making them cry (in a good way) about the stories I write. Then its a professional highlight.
