Oh I was wanting to point out that Falere, from the information we have is born in 1713 and is 472 at the time of ME2.

Like I said before, the last few chapters of Pariah just flew out the window :crying:

Every time I read through the list of items that Samara bequeathed, I feel a bit of sadness.  I speculate about the significance and history of every single item she's given up, and I think about how much it must have hurt to round everything up, and get rid of it all.  The cracked "World's Best Mother" mug and her bondmate items especially hurt.

I noticed that we don't yet have any pictures of Samara from the Shadow Broker mission.  What's up with that?

I find myself wondering about the Memorial Sphere, does that indicate that Samara's bondmate was dead by the time that Samara became a justicar?

Same here York, I know she's a fictional character and all but still it brings up a sense of sadness at the idea of giving up what seemed to have been a happy family life before her daughters were diagnosed.

York, uploading 14 images now. Some of them are actually okay.

I was paying too much attention what was going on in the cutscenes to remember to spam screenshots like I do in the main game so I missed several moments. But I got some good ones. And two that could be taken waaaaaay out of context.

Edit: Also, out of curiosity Kudara, what are your thoughts on Vasir? XD

That's a good point.  You're probably right.  Didn't she say that her bondmate left her?  That would mean that her bondmate died after leaving her, her bondmate "left" her in the figurative sense, or her bondmate wasn't another asari.

Where she says her only line, "By the Goddess" after the three floors of building are blown up with plenty of innocent people getting hurt/killed because of it.

Those are great pictures, Ashira! I need to take some pictures of my own.

Ashira, when Samara says "By the Goddess!" after the building explodes, did the audio for that line cut out for you?

I'm definitely bringing Samara the next time I do the SB missions. On my first playthrough of the mission, I used an older save-file, where Samara was specced poorly, so I didn't bring her.

Yeah... I noticed that too. The Shadow Broker does mention that she is infact Morinth rather than Samara.

Samara: He says that he is impressed that a Justicar decided to help Liara
Morinth: He says his is surprissed about the Justicar's involvement due to her change of... priorities (or something similar.... but obviously referencing that he knows it is Morinth).

I haven't looked through all of the SB stuff, where is that from Nick?

There isn't a dossier for Morinth.  He mentions it when he talks to Liara about the other squadmate in you party.  You only get these if you bring Samara or Morinth.

I played through LotSB with Samara and Morinth, Samara was especially helpful (really, you can't go wrong with Reave). I definitely liked having an all-asari squad. :D I also played through with Miranda, and she was good as well. I will say that I think Jack would rock on the ship hull combat sequence, Shockwave seems ideally suited for that environment (and Vanguards so own on this DLC).

Did you see the SB's video of Samara, Siansonea?

Vasir?  Well I wrote her as having a ruthless side so her working for the SB occasionally fits fine.  Being stupid does not and I personally found blowing up an entire floor of a building to be a bit excessive and too likely to draw unwanted attention to her activities Spectre or no.  As well of course as not guaranteeing that anyone you wanted dead actually died as proven by the fact that the blast killed neither Liara's contact or Liara.

I'll change some things about her, and well I'll not say too much more but I have some good ideas about how to work in the dlc.  And of course I've already stated my story takes place in an Alternate Universe so I'm covered there :)

Yes, but this isn't Tali we're talking about here. It's Samara.

And if any Talifans take offence to that, look up "mass effect tali" with safe search off.

The tinted visor will do nothing.

Just noticed Morinth has no dossier. Shame. Anyway, bored, so, here's Samara's...

Dossier: Justicar Samara

Asari Justicar. Rigidity of Justicar Code makes her movements and mission outcomes predictable. Mother to three Ardat-Yakshi, one of which remains wanted for murder in Citadel Space.

Transmission Log

Transmission Log, 1755 CE

Samara: I have called you together to ask something of you. It is not a small thing, but it is for the best. Rila, Falere, are you receiving this?

Falere: Quite well.

Rila: [Indistinct]-s, Mother.

F: We're in the common room, her communicator's too near the door. [Door shuts.] Try now, Mother.

S: This news would be best delivered in person, but I am not allowed to travel before tomorrow. I have something I must do. It is hazardous, and thus I must do it alone.

F: What do you mean, hazardous?

S: Tomorrow I take the Oath of Solitude. It is to prepare me for the other oaths, but it means--

F: You what?

S: It is an oath required of all who--

F: I know what it means, Mother! I'm forty-two years old, I have heard of justicars.

S: Then... do you understand why I must do it?

F: No.

S: The life of a justicar is dangerous. I will make enemies, and they would seek to use you-

F: That I understand! What is not clear is why you do this in the first place. Is it not enough that we live a hundred light-years away from you in a dank fortress? That we have no communicator of our own but must use this communal one? Do you know what it means to us to hear your voice?

S: I am sorry, Falere.

F: And now you take that away.

S: That is wounding, but it is the truth. I wish there were some other path.

F: And you called us instead of coming to see us.

S: If I came to see you, I would never leave. You know what that would mean.

F: Is she that terrible, Mother? Is she so much of a menace that you would deny us ever seeing you, ever hearing your voice again?

S: My dear... I cannot lose [sic] her on the world and pretend I owe her victims nothing. Her crimes are my crimes. In time you may see as I do.

F: Time is a weak salve for a fresh wound.

S: Please... do not let anger ruin this. We will have our lives to contemplate pain and loss. Can we not see from one another's eyes, just for a moment?

F: (silence)

S: Falere?

F: I don't want to lose you, Mother. Not over someone as small as Mirala, or whatever she calls herself now.

S: And Rila? You have been silent. Are you in accord?

R: I can only say I will yearn for you too.

S: Surely you have more than that.

R: Is this the only way you will have any righteousness, Mother?

S: It will let me live a just life.

R: Then the Goddess forbid I take it from you.

[Rila terminates call.]

F: She loves you, Mother. She did not say it, but she does.

S: And you? Can you understand why I must do this?

F: Catch her. Just catch her.

[Falere terminates call.]

Thanks for this Adriano.

The conversation is certainly heartfelt, with great lines exchanged between Samara and Falere.

Time is a weak salve for a fresh wound...

Interesting line coming from an Asari, seeing as how the are advocates of the "long view". Samara has been living out this concept for 400 years, no doubt believing that her wounds will heal in time. Perhaps it was the ultimate lesson she gave to her daughters, how to be virtous Asari of the highest order. A painful lesson indeed.

Well they are very young in this 42 for Falere and presumably younger for Rita. Given that Samara states that 40 is very young for an asari to be on their own I'm assuming it's maybe equivalent to a human 16 or 17 or maybe even younger.

Can you imagine at 16 knowing your going to live the rest of your life in the equivalent of a convent and then essentially losing your mother as well? I doubt I'd have much of a long view about then either.
