It's legit, although you can wait to see what Bioware say about it.

I think it's legit based on her Facebook page here, which is also linked from her modeling page.

Call me a pessimist... but I'm going to wait and see what Bioware says.  If it is legit... then great.  I'm not handing over money until then.

What are they wanting money for?

$5000 for materials, which I believe is on par with some of the designs Holly Conrad's group did for some of the simpler cosplay costumes they did.

Forgive me if I don't take your word on it.... Bioware is the ultimate "yay" or "nay" say on this one.  Unless you are Rana or Bioware... then you can't say if it is legit or not.

Pretty much this. A professional, darn near Hollywood grade costume is going to be in the thousands. Especially if she is hiring artisans to do every single piece.

From what I can tell, shes doing this for a good cause. Shes a cancer survivor and volunteers at a camp for kids with cancer. I think shes wants to wear this and show kids whats possible, and you can be your own Justicar and kick all kinds of butt.  Forgive me if this was mentioned, I'm kind of a bad poster.

You don't have to contribute at all. Bioware doesn't need to comment on this one, they don't comment on every cosplay of their games out there. You either believe it or you don't. Though would be great if Bioware did comment on it, as I think it's a better cause than simply sending Grunt to PAX.

Found this picture on DeviantArt, made me think of how Samara might have looked just after she became a Justicar.

Did you give her tips on how to create the asari head piece? :)

Hard to imagine that Samara was actually young, once upon a time. :)

Wow.  She looks beautiful in that picture.  Not even Benezia looked very old, and she was a Matriarch.  I wonder if asari even show old age in the same way humans do.

Wrinkles seems to be a foreign concept to the asari, though Benezia did look like she was developing bags under her eyes.

Don't think we ever really meet an asari beyond a millennia old, do we? 'Cause I imagine that something about a truly old asari would develop in their physique.

Then again, in Bioware terms, old age translates into Wynn. And she's a hot momma. Hot grandmomma.

Asari have special telomeres, which is medically attributed to their long lives.  Aging of the skin, in humans, is caused by the inability to properly produce elastin.  This produces wrinkles, lines, sagging skin, etc.  If Benezia is any indicator, she was probably near 1000, and barely looked like she was in her 40s, by human standards.

Benezia looked just like Marina Sirtis, age and all. They did a good job on that one.

Age is hard to see on asari, that's true. Benezia did look older to me than Samara, though alot of that might have been the extreme stress she was under at the time.

As I said though, the picture just doesn't have the impression of age that Samara has in the game so I think of it depicting her a few hundred years earlier than in the game.

Hello Samara lovers and devotees!

I've just created the following poll, which asks users to vote for the romance which is not necessarily their favourite, but the one that they believe to be the most well-written. Any contributions or votes would be very much appreciated:

Thank you!

How would the Virmire survivors react to Samara, assuming they get to be on Shepard's crew in ME2 DLC, or in ME3?

I look forward to hearing Ashley stumble into some vaguely offensive territory so some Shepard can correct her.

She's kind of dead in my playthroughs :S

I didn't talk to her in ME1 too much because I was unaware she wasn't a female romance option. Now I can't bloody stand the thought of going through ME1 again just to talk with her ><

What about Kaidan, though? He might be unnerved by the Code, and the Justicars.

I'm not sure, I never paid that much attention to either Ashley or Kaiden. But I can imagine him finding her "wrong" in some way, unable to understand how someone can function in absolutes.

I dont think we would see more reactions between them as lets say between Garrus and Samara for example.
Although I agree with Ashira on Kaidan and I think Ashley would kinda support Samaras actions.

I think they would have a hard time with the idea of her binding her actions irrevocably to a Code which is black and white. Rather similar to the way that alot of ME2 players have a hard time understanding her.
