yeah i used miranda the first time for that barrier and jack got eaten!!! miranda had nothing left for that one last burst so she basically killed jack. wait, maybe it was intentional...

It always bugged me that you can't take a "back-up" biotic with you. When Samara was getting tired, why couldn't I switch her with a biotic in my squad?
(Also bothered me a little bit that there was no option for Adept Shepard to do it. But I suppose, logically, he had to co-ordinate and lead...and I'm used to the game talking about biotics like Shepard isn't one.)

I tried to not give Miranda any of the positions, she was such a whiny boob about it. (I didn't know she would be a good leader, ended up getting Legion killed because I thought Samara could lead!) Anyway yeah.
I always usually take Samara and Jack for the barrier part and I too was scared when your biotic starts to fail(I used Jack the first time because she was my LI)
I kinda wish there were a few more variables involved in the who lives/dies idea
Would make it more random and worrisome! Now I wish I took a screen of Samara handing Shepard a bomb to blow that base to hell!

After beating the game I found all characters were great and unique in their own way but samara's personality was one that I really like, and that's why I was kinda disappointed when she was not a romance option.

Yes, that was a sweet moment. :-)
I also liked taking her along for Jack's mission. She tends to make comments that are very justice-oriented and she was horrified that children were tortured.

i loved her loyalty mission, but always feel bad for her afterwards. she's killing her own daughter! my god how that must suck!
then just little chats you can have with her on the ship... when she invites you to sit on the floor with her and smiles, telling you that she's at peace 'due in no small part to you'. That's cool.
Another random thing she says that cracks me up is SO the obvious.. she'll kill a baddie then say:
'that one is dead.'

@ The earlier concept about Liara not being her kid due to the genetic issues, we do not know if Samara being the "father" continues the problem. If it does, then we get evidence that Asari do take traits from the "father". If it doesn't, they could be related. Could.

I liked her a lot too. I was bummed when she expressed no romantic intentions. The Matron Stage sounded totally cougeriffic.

On Tuchanka. There is a convo about the fighting pit. She says something along the lines of:
"I may have to come back to Tuchanka after the mission is over and teach the Krogan the meaning of compassion. I will need many bullets."

Yes, that is a fave also.
The composition of the almost-romance scene with Samara is beautifully done. How she is moved toward the left of the screen during the conversation and then leaves. So meaningful since she's always dead-center in all your previous conversations.
