If Samara returns as a squadmate in ME3. Would anyone else like if her armor would be more like this?

Posted Image

Just abit more justicar-ish (PS. It was hard to get a good screenshot of the armor).

I love the captain....I really would love more armor variety in general...something Waseas armor would be cool...or like Vasirs armor.

That makes me wonder...do we know of any official Justicar Insignia or symbol?

No. Or not anything the game has shown us.

As for being more "justicar-ish" I was think about removing all those ultility things on the armor and perhaps have it be slightly less bulky. It should also be decorated either by symbols or something else.

Makes you wonder...is Samara wearing a standard Justicar armor...or an armor that she has choosen for herself. I think it is kinda official one...just like those "head plates". I guess all Justicar have em, or each Justicar has a different Version of the armor and plates...resembling something special ?

I think that armor would work great for Samara. Some sort of Justicar emblem on it like Vasir had with the Spectre insignia. Hmm, but then would she look like any other merc with wearing armor? Her outfit is pretty, uh, distinct.

We don't know if they have an official symbol, but I'd like to think that the doodads Samara wears on her forehead indicate that she's a Justicar.  I'd like to think that they appear as a common theme to the Justicar Order.

That's an impression most of us share: none of the other asari are ever seen wearing similar forehead ornaments. They wear paints or tattoos (or even eyebrows in Liara's case) but never anything similar to Samara. Plus, the way the doodads are arranged on her forehead and temples is (at least for me) evocative of an open faced helm, perhaps a modern reminder of ancient traditional justicar armor...

Good eye.  I hadn't thought about that.  Any armor Samara wears, she must keep her forehead doodads, though.

If the forehead doodads do indicate that she is a Justicar, it's an even more of an insult, Morinth wearing them, if the player chooses Morinth over Samara.

Did everyone see the page dedicated to Samara in the Mass Effect Activity Book?  Here's the link to the thread for the Activity Book.  You must help Samara find out who's lying about who stole the cookies!

Why not Kasumi?  Or Thane?

So, I was watching "Tangled" (great movie, by the way), and one of the main characters tosses another character a bag of food.  The character is skeptical, because the other character is a thief.  The character who tossed the bag of food says not to worry, that he bought the food.  The character who was tossed the food starts eating the food.  The thief then clarifies himself, saying that he paid for most of the food.  The character eating the food stops.

I think that Samara, in a simlar situation, would stop eating, too.  Fruit from the poisonous tree, and all.

You know, that's a really fitting comparison. She even has those icy, cold eyes, and skin with a color to match.

I've been thinking... it sort of seems that who Samara really is, and the justicar she acts as, are different people. Also that this is deliberate: there seems to be a set justicar persona that they all adopt, that of the dispassionate assassin of morality. The person Samara actually is beneath that seems to be almost dead, but appears sometimes in conversations...

Samara the Mother is still alive, but kept out of Justicar matters.  We see her surface every now and then, when Samara smiles, or chuckles.  Samara the Justicar is who she is most of the time.  They're separate.  Samara keeps them separate, because she can't allow Samara the Mother interfere with Samara the Justicar, due to her duties.  Just because they're kept separate, doesn't mean one is dead.  Why do you say that Samara the mother is dead?

^This. I hardly think she's dead, it's just surpressed, she can't let it cloud her judgement.

"If I must kill a man because he has done wrong, do I really wish to know he is a devoted father?"

This implies emotion, which she removes from her 'persona' as a justicar, because it simply cannot coexist with the Code's harsh black and white view.

Am I saying this right? I'm usually not as good with the words as you guys...

No, you're saying it correctly.  If she knew that he was a devoted father, it might cloud her judgment, because it might make her emotional.  Also, as a parent, it might render her impartial, again.  Lastly, it prevents an appeal to emotion from affecting her.

almost dead

Although, now I wonder. If Morinth is dead, does Samara really need to remain a justicar?

I don't know if Samara would know how to go back to her old life. If she does remain a Justicar, she should be doing what she can, at least in asari space, to stop the Reapers.

I hope that she can reclaim her old life. If not, I'll always wonder if I could have given Morinth a new one.

If Samara 'reclaimed her old life', it would pretty much be an indicator that the only reason that she joined the Justicars was to kill Morinth, and no other reason. Sanctioned murder, in other words.

Now, while that might be the case regardless, at least if she stays she can claim that while Morinth's escape was a determining factor, it wasn't the one and only reason she would go along with the Code and all it has entailed.
