OK, Samara fans, I think you'll be interested in a little Samara tribute from a non Samara fan. So I will just quote myself.

In the thread "Any squadmates you didnt like at first but grew on you.":

I liked Zaeed, Mordin and Legion from the very start.

The one that actually grew on me was Samara. At first I didn't like her "mysterious warrior of justice" background and her family issues made me sick. However, I liked the way we killed her daughter, and when she eventually told me that my "curiousity" was appreciated, I just thought: "Now I see, why your children were born crazy!"
I hope she's not going to kill me as she promised.

Also this:
Greatest renegade option ever.

Yeah, I think a lot of players share similar setiments regarding Samara.  She does grow on you after a while.  IMO most will honestly come to the conclusion that she is the deepest character in the game.

Nice picture.

I tried the "cry me a river" option and she put me right back in my place. Too many times, the renegade responses simply involved Shepard being a ******.

Sorry there wasn't a dialogue option like "Nice boobs" for Samara.

No, but she does make this statement:

"If you force me to do anything extremely dishonorable, I will have to spank you Shepard!"

About that Code... For some time now, I wonder how it works in relation to the morals, laws and ethics of other species. For example, if a Justicar encountered a Human criminal, would she be compelled to kill him? Or would that only be the case if the Asari were involved somehow? Like one being the victim of his crimes or the crime taking place in asari controlled space.

According to what the asari officer said, the code would be applicable, and possibly at conflict with other species, hence their reluctance at her contact with them. They feared the code wouldn't be able to accomodate other species and cultures. This makes sense, as ( If I remeber correctly)  Justicars rarely leave asari space.

My observation is that the Code distinguishes between the innocent and the criminals. It does not take other species into account, a justicar is simply bound by it and compelled to root out and punish any injustice she encounters. The real problem when dealing with other species is that they may not (and most likely will not) acknowledge the authority of the justicar. And there lies the core of the problem: upon encountering a human criminal for example the justicar would simply have to follow the Code and execute him. Human authorities would most likely not accept the judgement of some asari, regardless of her role in asari society and legal system.

Of course, the location of such incident would be a significant factor. If a justicar executes a human criminal on Thessia there may be an outcry, but it can be said that by comiting a crime in asari space the criminal falls under asari jurisdiction and faces the consequences as defined by asari law.
On the other hand, if such criminal was executed on Illiium for example the situation wouldn't be so clear because Illium doesn't technically belong into asari space and thus asari laws are not applicable. Thus, the justicar would inadvertently break the local law concerning murder, just because she MUST follow her Code. Local law enforcement forces would be in turn forced to apprehend the justicar to face the consequences of her actions and we all know how that would turn out...

I can never do the renegade options for Samara because it isn't badass dialogue, it's douchebag dialogue.

She basically points out that Shepard was the one who asked her to share her thoughts in the first place, and that she will stop  anytime if Shepard wants her to. ( I'm thinking back here)

It was a very stern and mature response imo.

Personally, I loathe the very idea of Justicars.  Absolute enforcers of the Law...that are completely above it?

NO.

Though, given as the Asari accept it as a matter of course, it's certainly a massive cultural gulf between them and Humanity that'll never be closed.

I'd actually love there to be a DLC mission pack, or an string of missions in ME3, about a Justicar that oversteps her bounds...in human space.  Samara would play a crucial role in the mission(s), as she gets to witness a confrontation of Law vs Law.

I say this not because I dislike Samara (hardly) but because absolutism is outright dangerous.  The Asari aren't saints, just like the rest of us.  Codes can be broken, interpreted in different ways, bent or outright forsaken.  The kind of absolutism Samara and other Justicars live with is ripe groud for fanatacism.
