Or could she be persuaded to expand her knowledge of humans in this way, without obligations of romantic relationship whatsoever beyond a single bed time?

Seriously, would Samara sleep with renegade Shepard if it was the only way to prevent him from killing an innocent person (supposing she still considers herself under her oath of allegiance and Shepard does not come up with the idea to just order her into his bed)?

What would be an example that would fit this scenario though?Zulu_DFA wrote...

LOL!
"Sleep with me dammit! or I'll blow his head off!"
"Why yes Shepard, I'll share your bed, if only for study."

Well Samara is very mysterious. You never know. She may have a little surprise for your renegade scenerio.Zulu_DFA wrote...

I'd wish there was something along these lines as an expansion to the "curiosity" dialogue with Samara. Would be cool to ask her these questions, and I bet she'd give a truthful answer. Not necessarily leading to the bed even if it was "yes".

She said she will be oblidged to kill me anyway after her oath expires, so why the hell not? And given that, maybe it's my only chance, because I don't want to kill her.JohnnyDollar wrote...

Well she says (not verbatim) "let us hope that we will not meet again for the sake of our firendship". Which implies the fight would be on if they crossed paths again. So unless I missed some dialog, which is certainly possible, then fighting Samara is not a forgone conclusion with your renegade Shep following the endgame mission.Zulu_DFA wrote...

I haven't hit the line either, I heard the audio though. She says to Paragon Shep that he/she can call on her and she will come. I did hit the paragon line. With Renegade I think she says what I said in the above post. In both instances I think that she alludes to the fact that her oath to Shep is fulfilled. So it seems that if playing Paragon you may be able to request her assistance in ME3. If playing renegade you may cross paths with her. Knowing her, a fight to the death would not be surprising.Zulu_DFA wrote...

Hmmm...
I don't remember hitting such a line, although I did exhaust all the dialogue with her.
But from the metagaming PoV it seems to be a strong hint that in ME3 they will cross their paths, and what'll be the result with the Renegade? A fight to the death?

Pepare to die a few times in that conflict. I'm sure if you fight her she'll be wicked-tough to beat. Probably worse than Benezia.

IMO (don't get upset anyone reading this) all of the ME2 squadmates are dead in the default. Hence small (cameos, love scenes) roles for alive squadmates in your save import in ME3.Flamewielder wrote...

Unless of course Bioware plans to use Morinth/Samara like Ashley/Kaidan and decides that your paragon/renegade scores determines who'll be back... They can't really use death, as all the squadmates can die in the final mission. Should the squadmates remain the same in ME3, they'll write them all back in for a "new" Shepard and bring back whatever survivors made it with an "import" Shepard.
In either case, I guess the chances of a traditional romance with Samara/Morinth are slim in ME3

Now that I think of it, that would be a terrific and ballsy thing for Bioware to do. What a plot line! One way, a valued friend and teammate lives, the other one is a fight to the death. After what they did with Wrex...
