Yes, that is a fave also.

The composition of the almost-romance scene with Samara is beautifully done. How she is moved toward the left of the screen during the conversation and then leaves. So meaningful since she's always dead-center in all your previous conversations.

I think I like it better not having her... although if they wrote the scene right, I might change my mind.

Wish I'd found her like 200 years ago while she was still in her 'I'll have some of that' stage...  but I totally admire the code thing and thank god there was not a weird, awkward scene with her.

Samara is one of my favourite characters in ME2 the strong asari that rains biotic justice upon the enemy.

Surprised she wasn't a LI though, I might have dumped Liara lol.

My party almost always has Samara/Thane in it once I've gotten them.

Great character. Really hope she is in ME3, but I dont see how here and Liara can be in there as squadmates at the same time.

I loved Samara...in the same way I loved Wynne. Gilf style.

Seriously though, she was like Mordin in the fact that she was more interesting to talk to than any of the other squadmates. Thane was also interesting, but his species seems so...fanfic derived.

She was definitely one of my favorites to talk to and I sorta wish she was a possible LI. Have to respect her decision to remain a justicar and follow the code though.

Samara was the only asari I thought was actually pretty. She's very cool in character and I like that. Her not being a LI doesn't dampen her cool factor she doesn't need to be one to have my attention.

I've got a question about the whole Samara partial romance thing. If you had a LI in ME1 and tried to hit first base will Samara, will their picture get knocked down, too? I had a save that I forced myself to LI Kaidan and I wanted to dump him for the lulz. Unfortunately, I didn't like Thane and the thought of getting it on with Garrus made me queasy, so I thought that maybe the whole Samara thing might be enough...

Just another 'love' thread to see how much love Samara gets.

I personally find her a great character, even as many others say she's 'cold', 'old', etc negative. Live as long as her and kill enough people, and you'll be able to shut your emotions off too  I think she has plenty of depth though, just wish the dialogue with her was extended as I'm sure she'd have plenty of stories. I really enjoyed her loyalty mission.

So post pics, chat about her, etc; make it a fun thread and keep it on the positive.

Nadia  Thanks for making this Thread  Now i have places i can go to talk about my fav  Three ME 2 girls, Miranda, Samara and Tail

I think my Jaw  hit the floor when i saw  her...Liara turned me off the Asari and Samara turned me right back on too them .  I think it was also awesome how she talking about Mornith with such Pride after she kills. You can hear that she did not hate her daugther at but actually loved, pity and respected her in the end.

you're right nite!! she did love and respect her daughter but my god, the trail of bodies Morinth left behind her was just too much for Samara to overlook. She's truly not heartless in the game either; everyone she kills is either after us or a mercenary honestly. Or yeah, her daughter. LOL

Samara is quickly becoming the top of the list for me... I really am hoping for an appearance at least in ME 3.

Go Samara! :D

What are some folks favorite moments in ME2 with Samara?

When she said she appreciated my curiosity in her being romancible or not. It's like a teacher trying to refuse the offer of a likable high school kid. Brings back memories..

Yeah, that was good. She really comes across like a wise older woman. I also like when she says "I like your species; I am curious to see what you will do".

Samara's dialogue is really endearing the more you talk to her. I love her little smile when she says the above too. She's just too cool.

Samara is cool... was my choice to hold up the biotic shield as well.. Jack might've gotten too anxious and started shooting at enemies, releasing the field hah.... didn't wanna find out it was my first run through and was on Insanity, so I kept Jack with me for her team warp ammo and Grunt well... bcuz he's Grunt.

I managed to save all of my crew (the engineers were still there, kelly, dr. cha, cook, other random shipmates, etc..) and of course my allies so there's no reason why they wouldn't all be in ME3, who's recruitable, retired, busy with other things, etc... well that's up in the air and we will have to see. I'm sure some sort of hybrid of ME1, ME2, and some new characters will be in ME3 as recruitable allies.

So I'm doing my renegade playthrough now.

Now, on my paragon playthrough, it was cool to debate with Samarra that MAYBE the Justicar's code was a little too strict, and maybe didn't allow much for the quality of mercy. I liked having this incomparably wise and virtuous being along; it made me feel like we were doing the Right Thing. And I was glad to bring her out of the suicide mission alive; though I was prepared to sacrifice her if I needed to (as an end fitting a Justicar), I would feel bad if I had caused the death of such a noble person.

On my renegade playthrough, though...well...I want at least one ME3 playthrough with Morinth...and I'm a little worried if I leave Samarra around, when her Oath of Submission is done, she won't be very happy with my renegade....

(Adding to this is that I didn't really need Reave before, but now I sorta do...)

Nah, that has no bearing... at least in this game. I think she states 'i may have to kill you' in the police station just so we stop and think. she never does anything though, no matter how renegade you are.

ME 3 could be a totally different story though.

I just can't seem to be a renegade... it's too mean. And no matter how hard I try, I could NEVER kill Samara.

Just can't do it.

My renegade is Sole Survivor/Colonist....and since a lot of renegade choices are "take no chances" kind of things, it helps justify them for me. (If your whole colony was wiped out, and THEN your whole unit was wiped out, you probably wouldn't show much compassion for a long-thought-dead race of space bugs...)

But killing Samara for Morinth? I dunno, I have a hard time playing a character with chronic backstabitis. Maybe on my eventual "Stupid Shepard" playthrough I'll be able to do it.

Also, as usual, you are doing an amazing job with the screnshots.

Yeah. The face says it all. "I deeply regret messing with an insanely powerful biotic with hundreds of years of experience and a rigidly defined code of justice!"
