Thing of beauty. It adds to her overall sternness. It helps in generating her commanding presence. I don't think a pronounced jaw is necessarily a masculine trait, and it's not like she doesn't have feminine features elsewhere.

The countdown thread erupted, you can go over there to get the gist. Pitchforks and torches, let me tell ya. I'm a little dissapointed myself, but not entirely suprised.

I'm not sure, but they may have trimmed her jaw a bit if you look at the model (rhianna?) striaght on. She's got a very square jaw.

It has been reedited but with a female shepard in it and some slightly different scenes which I think is better overall.

The model's stage name is Rana (RanaMary may or may not be a stage name). The URL is on some of the previous pages.slimgrin wrote...

I think her jaw's perfect myself, but as they say, "beauty's in the eye of the beholder"...

Samara is the most attractive person in the ME series IMO

Someone speculated as to the possibility of Samara bing Liara's 'father'. That raises the possibility of Liara going Ardat-Yakshi when she hits maturity. Now there's a twist.
She is in maturity. She's in the Maiden stage, the stage at which the AY trait expresses itself.
EDIT: Also, Samara would have been lying to us in either deceiving us about the number of children she's had, and/or her children all being put in to Asari monasticism, with the obvious exception being Morinth.

Now that would be cool! But wouldnt my shepard have died in Me1 from melding with her if that was the case?
If true that would be seriously cool though!

Liara is about 100. How old does an Asari have to be for the Ardat-Yakshi symtoms to show up?WDGrainger wrote...

Maiden stage. ~100 years old. See my post, above.

That would set the stage for some real emotional conflict for Shepard and Samarra.
Attraction to Samara.
Recollection of ME1 romance with Liara if you had one.
Necessity for putting down Ardat-Yakshi.
That would really set the convo wheel spinning. Not to mention Paragon/Renegade interrupt choices.

Yes, Liara would have microwaved Shepard's brain ME1, but the Ardat-Yakshi were fabricated for ME2. They didn't even exist in ME1. They'd have to retcon something outrageous in order to make their retcon...retconnable.

We have to rule out this possibility. Liara is not an Ardat-Yakshi.
Samara said Morith fled at the age of 40 and had been previously exposeв as AY. Liara is 106 in ME1 and Shepard survives melding with her. Besides, Samara said both other her daughters are in a monastery.

As for Samara's square jaw, I support it!

So even though I personally am not inclined to believe Liara is Ardat-Yakshi, technically her and Shep could have bonded before her symtoms surfaced.yorkj86 wrote...

Edit: Of course this would be looking at it from a meta-gaming perspective I suppose.

Well, if Bioware is looking for another way to take a dump on poor Liara's character, they might as well keep going, amirite?
I can't stand what they did to Liara in ME2.
