That is the best Samara screenshot i have ever seen, it is quite sad though.

I don't know, I've always assumed it was protective since as a species they really seem to like covering up their necks.  I've noticed in the few that don't that they seem to breathe? through he back of their neck.  If you ever see a back view there is an area on their neck that flutters when they talk.  Also, Samara seemed to have an easy time breaking that one Eclipse sister's neck.  So as I said, I always assumed it was a vulnerable spot that they preferred to protect.

To Joker's credit, it would make sense that the pilot would try and stay in control of the ship until the last possible moment, like the pilot of a B-17 bomber would try to keep flying until all his crew had a chance to bail out safely. After all, it wouldn't do for an escape pod to be toasted by an engine's exhaust because no one was trying to stabilize the ship... Ooops!

Fortunately, Samara fans appear concerned with more enlightened topics...

Hmmm, you know, seeing those two latest pics, kelmar, it just occurred to me how it always seem odd seeing Samara with a gun. She comes across as a hardcore biotic in her style of fighting. Her intro scene with the Eclipse merc certainly made it appear, or least give a strong inclination, that that was her style. But obviously in terms of gameplay, it wouldn't be feasible to have a squadmate who couldn't fire a gun.

I like the 2nd picture. Shepard means business. Who else loves it when Samara uses reave and she says, "Your life...is mine." Gives me the chills, and makes me glad Samara is on my team!

It sure would be nice to have more than a cameo in ME3.  I sure hope so anyway.

If Bioware is reading this the key words are MORE THAN JUST A CAMEO.

It would make her out to be an interesting squadmate in terms of gameplay. But with the universe cooldown on powers, she would be standing around or in cover before she could attack again. As opposed to during said wait, she could do some damage to enemies with gunfire.
