I distinctly recall one of the words she used being "earnest" ^_^

Note: Not being nitpicky...it just popped into my head ^^; *hides*

Yeah, Earnest, that does sound very familiar, nice job Ashira, reloaded my Personal Shep to try to find the exact wording, Samara was too busy meditating to answer my questions.

We've been pretty peaceful over here...but NOT anymore haha...

*snip*

Could you imagine having to say that to someone who just tossed an Asari commando around like a rag doll?

How about towards the end of that scene when Samara walks by and casually pushes Shep out of the way?  Demanding and commanding of respect?

Yea, that subtle act in that scene really shows how dominant she is. She is comfortable enough to walk freely around 3 mercenery-like people she just met, and an Asari officer who's come to arrest her. Samara is truly regal :)

You ain't kiddin.  No fear at all.

Something along the lines of "Jacob is an honest and just man, events in the future will either shape him into a great man, or will utterly destroy him"

Yeah I think I  remember that now.
edit:  So maybe she says ernest instead of honest.

Frankly as far as MaleShep's LI's go, I don't have much interest in any of them from ME1 or 2. The one character that really has grown on me isn't an LI. With that said, I am not sure whether or not she is LI material so to speak. Shep really is kinda out of her league in a way to me. Of course you have the teaser that Bioware gave is, so I don't know. She is a great companion that Shep can trust and confide in and depend on though.  A soul mate I suppose at the least.

Jack and Samara are deep characters with Samara a little more so. Other than that, they seem to be almost complete opposites of each other.

edit:  I am too lazy right now to do a comparison contrast of the two.  Perhaps york or Flamewielder or someone else can if they feel like it.

I abandoned the Tali thread ages ago. Fan of the character since ME2. Not enough discussion in that thread, far too much "Keelah se'lai!" and inappropriate questions and ponderings about quarian private bits. I find this thread to be a far better read, even though I'm not helping with this... off-topicness. *cough*

Samara (on Miranda): "She carries many burdens, and doesn't share them with others - as it should be."

If she thinks that that's the way things should be, asking Shepard for help must have been no small task in itself.

Ok so I think we need to get off the topic of frying one of our own just because they might not preorder ME 3, so how about this, I love Samara's character not only becuase of her intesting history, personality, fashion, Loyalty Mission, Sweet Loyalty Power, ect, but also because she says some very nice stuff about my boy Jacob Taylor, it was like hearing someone compliment my friend, which was nice especially after my other Tali offered to loan me a genade, messed up, Jacob didn't do anything wrong.

I forgot what she says about Jacob.  Do you remember what she says?

I'll try to note it down tonight. Her opinion of Jacob IS good. She's a good judge of character, our Samara is...
Jacob left the Alliance for the same reason garrus left C-Sec: both wanted to do good but felt tied down by the regs and politics of their respective organizations.
When you look at it. Shepard is no longer a member of the Alliance and is smart enough to know TIM's got some sort of hidden agenda beyond saving Humanity. From the perspective of both organizations, "Shepard's gone rogue"... (I just SOOO love to ****** off TIM at the endPosted Image). Shep's become a vigilante and unfortunately for them, he's a Council Spectre again...
That's why I ignore the Council's insulting denials and accept their offer of restoring Shepard to Spectre status. This way, Shepard still has access to Spectre backing; probably no real impact in the actual game, but would make a difference behind the scene (such as an expense account for ship consumeables (food, spare parts, maybe a new paint job...Posted Image), access to C-Sec files, etc...). I doubt Cerberus will want to spend more money on Shepard, and I don't expect they'll be sharing info either (outside of the stuff clearly beneficial to Cerberus).

@Flamewielder
The ME3 story will be alluring that is for sure. I hope so anyway. Cerberus may not even play an integral role in ME3. I would like Shep to be involved in something original though. First it was the Alliance and the Spectres and then it was Cerberus. Although it is a weird twist being resurrected by Cerberus and working with them, it was awkward at the same time. I hope that Shep's association with another organization or entity will be different and maybe even unconventional like it was with Cerberus.

It clearly suggests that BW wanted to offer a biotic specialist that would appeal to a renegade (Jack) and another that would appeal to a paragon (Samara). Ironically, the appeal went far beyond P/R criteria and we ended up with two very interesting characters that appeal to both sides of the morality scale...Posted Image

Grunt and Jack are really well matched (with a technical Shep at least) and both love to fight. I usually pair them up.

As for Samara, have you guys found a squadmate that worked particularly well with her, or had more conversation/interaction with her?

You mean you would like for her to be more willing to share her burdens with Shep?

I find myself bringing Mordin along with Samara alot of the time, killer against organic enemies. *usually plays Soldier*

Maybe so, I'm much too caring so I want to "help" people in some way/shape/form. Yes, burdens can be carried alone, but eventually they get to be too much and that's when most people just snap.
