I like samara very much, but not sure if I want to romance her. Well I think I do, because I actually felt sad when she turned down my femshep. I feel that she is a great character, peaceful, wise, reliable and can be good friend with my femshep. She is very mature, not just because of her age but also because of her life experiences. If my femshep ever has any thoughts or worries about anything, I feel that samara would be the one to talk to.

<3 Samara to.

And she gets Reave, the very best ability in ME2 seeing as how it destroys armor, and all the pain in the ass enemies are full of nothing but armor.

I mean seriously Bioware, why does the Scion version of the Vanguard biotic powers destroy shields while the player character version does almost no damage to shields, armor, or biotic barriers? If it weren't for the ability to get Reave from Samara, Vanguards would be the worst class of all time.

For me Reave is useful because it's good against armor AND barriers. Great against Collectors.

Also, when I first recruited Samara, I couldn't help but think, "Thank God, a squadmate who DOESN'T work for an evil organization and is not NOT a psychopathic killer addicted to violence....I thought I could only count on my ME1 peeps to get my back."

I admit, my current lack of any avatar makes me even easier to find then my old dworf. Its darkness reflects the blackness in my soul.

But bump, for Samara love. It's a little scary Morinth got so much attention quickly, but the two characters are literally two sides of the same coin locked in nemesis, Samara struggling to do good to cancel out the evil Morinth does. (Which Samara feels responsible for.)

I asked her about romance and she told me she wasn't interested then. I didn't pursue her later after that because I assumed no meant no. I had no idea that it went as deep as this. I saw a video on youtube and was like aw...thats neat. I do like Samara and respect her a great deal, she is an execellent character and I liked when shepard sat next to her and she told how she knew human history and the like. She really grew on me I hope to see her in mass effect 3.

I too would like to see more of her in ME3 or in later DLC. She's the only one that even remotely tempted me to cheat on Liara.

I never cared for asari. And I thought I was going to hate Samara, but when I recruited her and got to know her, she turned out to be one of my favorite characters in the Mass Effect series.

Samara is easily one of my favorite characters in ME 2. Unfortunately like Tali and many other NPCs they all run out of dialogue once they get to the "romance-check" - the time when, if your character is the right-gender *and* the NPC is flagged as romanceable, the romance would be starting. I found that frustrating.

Samara needs to be back in the squad in ME3. I went into ME2 going for her as my LI and while I was dissappointed she chose not to I think it made me like and respect her even more. But I still want to see Shepard keep the pursuit of her in ME3.

I like that Shepard actually would have to fight for her instead of every other LI basically coming onto Shepard. She was my favorite character in ME2. She also has the most interesting and tragic past one person could have. Samara all the way!!

She is good friends with my paragon so I want her in my squad for 3. But if I see her on my main Shepard im gonna have to kill her. She pretty much says she doesnt want to meet me again for the sake of our friendship since im renegade. Made me a little sad lol.

I didn't what to expect when I went to recruit her. I had no clue what she looked like or anything. Suffice to say, my reaction was "woah". She's hawt and pretty cool as well. Great scene when she fights Morinth.

I definitely find Samara to be one of the more interesting and memorable ME2 characters, and there was something very heartwarming when she told me that she valued our friendship and that if I ever needed her help at any time I just had to ask.

I hope Samara is in ME3, if not, hopefully we could run into her. I love her dedication to the path she chosen, wiping the Galaxy clean of pesky criminals and such.

And you gotta love those eyes <3

I like Samara quite a bit. I didn't find her to be cold, just, as she said, a bit "rusty" at personal interaction. I am also glad that she isn't romance-able. She clearly likes Shepard (if you're Paragon), but she knows that that part of her life is over.

That said...

Can someone tell me how to get to the almost-kiss scene? I've been through the game twice now, and she tells me that I am a good friend and will come help me if I need her in the future, but it ends there. From then on she just meditates. I hadn't finished a romance, I thought I had all her previous conversations,.. did I just choose the wrong dialogues? How do you do it? When does it happen? What triggers it?

The Code demands I bump this thread.

Really wish she could teach a biotic Shepard how to do that glowy-eyes ball of energy thing...

How do you do the Samara "romance"?

I've not been able to get it to trigger. What do you have to say/do?

I didn't go all the way with this. But you ask her about the Code, and then there's an option about asking if it forbids Romantic entaglements. That's one part.

There's also a part where she says she's proud to call you her friend. (Which I felt really complimented by...it's not every day a centuries-old powerful and wise being says that), and you can say "Thank you" or "I want more."

I'm looking for an "I support Samara for ME3" sig. Anyone get their hands on one?

Despite my professed love of Morinth, I like Samara well to, as a character, and as a very appropriate foil for Morinth :D

I've made a couple but didn't want to jump on the 'x for ME 3' bandwagon.

I'll see about getting one done now..

Its abit like kellys e-mail. You need to break up with any potential love interest on the ship before telling her you want more than friendship. You can still get the "i want more option" even if you have a potential LI on the ship but to get the emotional "almost kiss" scene and dialogue you need to be single
