Well, there's still Wynne and Oghren...

Tip: Don't bring Morrigan to the Circle of Magi with you. She'll open her big mouth and you'll end up killing Wynne if you listen to her.

Just give him two of his gifts that are specific to him and you will be fine.

I would restart, even if you dont want them in your party, its nice to have all the companions at camp so you can do the quests and other stuff. It adds more to the game imo.Easy to do though I missed Leliana the first time I played.

I would restart too. You've missed a lot of content by "blowing through" the game. It really pays to be patient and talk to every NPC with a name (or even a special title) and to go into every area you can get in. Rushing through the game will only limit your enjoyment of it, at least the first time.

Sometime I might do a speed run and see just how little of the game you can do and finish....nahhhh. I never get into playing like that.

My first playthrough I didn't get Sten cause I couldn't persuade a certain person to let me have him lol n didn't realize that having a certain party member in my group would help with that

If you do restart get Leliana from the tavern, go to the cell where Sten is, and talk to him. Then head back to the Chantry for the key to unlock the cage.

This game isn't one you can go through quickly, you'll just spoil the (well, 'an') ending for a more thourough playthrough. It's very important that you have all the conversations, particularly with your companions in camp. It's also important to remember that this game is very different from a FPS. It's as much, or more, about the story as it is about the fighting. You need to get that story to unfold, which means talking and finding things that are important. Also, each of your actions have consequences and will affect the end of the game, as will your relationships with various party members and NPCs. If I were you, I'd start over and take your time.

Errant Knight is right on the money here.  You will save yourself a lot of frustration by restarting.  It only takes a few hours to get to Lothering once you've done it so it's no big deal.

LOL @ Naughty Bear. Enjoy your game. Slow down a bit, live with the consequences of your actions. Then your next play through you will have a lot more to enjoy! You can always do a perfect play through with spoilers and such another time!

Regarding upsetting Alistair or Morrigan with the "killed child". I assume this is the Redcliffe problem. Alistair will be pissed off no matter who gets killed. He doesn't approve of working with Jowan nor does he approve when he finds out the mum (Isolde?) killed her son.

**SPOILER**
There is a third way, which I almost pulled off but accidentally messed it up. If you take things slow and pay attention to the conversation between your party, Jowan, Isolde and Bann Teagan, you should be able to get help from the Circle of Magi and possibly save them both.
But I haven't tried this so I don't know if it actually works.

Edit:
Naughty Bear, you really should slow down and explore. You are missing out on so many things if you don't. This is not a game you rush through. You should at least read the game manual at start. The wiki is good but will ruin the gameplay on your first playthrough.

Edit2:
In regards to the "gay factor" of giving gifts (which I personally think is ridiculous), raising your partys approval is something you should aim for no matter how you feel about the "gay issue". Each step (60, 70, 80 & 90) gives a boost to an attribute, which differs from member to member. It's just game characters. You have the control (for the most part) of them.

It works.  ANd Btw, but both Morrigan and Wynne (if in your party at the time of the conversation) actually will suggest it.  Sadly, the PC as a mage can't.  BUG!

My PC as a mage could . . . but didn't feel it's worth the risk!  (YES, I know, I know, but I'm RP'ing here).

@ Naughty Bear

You've been given some stellar advice here. Slow down. Go into every door that you can. Check your map regularly for things you might've missed. Talk to all named npcs. There are a lot of plot details you can find out that way, as well as lots of quests that will give you the money you need to buy the things you want. And listen to your companions, but don't do everything they say. You need to think carefully, make decisions, and live with the consequences in this game.

If you've missed this much, you probably missed a lot in your origin story too, and at Ostagar and in the Wilds as well. Either just keep going and live with already having lost some companions and all the other things you missed - or start again if you want - or go back to an earlier save. It's your choice. ;)

No need to restart, this could be your evil character file. Go with it. Steal from people, take bribes, and ask for money for helping people. Be one with your anti-hero. :P

Yeah, you can kill the little girl in Honnleath, the one who can be possessed by "Kitty."

Well, Alistair doesn't flip out over the little girl possessed by Kitty. I thought I found a loop hole with Alistair one time when I talked Isolde into doing the deed and killing her own son. No luck. Alistair still claimed it was me who did the killing because I should have known better. Alistair didn't like me and I didn't like him much either after that conversation.

On the original point, this reminds me of my first play through. I told Leliana to go away three different times in Lothering. I had a full party of three companions and didn't know you could have more companions back at camp.. I didn't want to give up Dog or Alistair and Leliana was talking crazy talk. I thought she was some kind of Paladin. haha. After I did the mage tower, I was concerned about all the chests I was passing up and reloaded a game at Lothering. My experience with Wynne is the first time I realized you could have more than three companions when they made me choose which three to take.

There is so much here in this game that there is no "right" way to play it. Even that Conner episode gives you at least four choices on how to handle it.

Just play as you do.. my first playthrough I killed Wynn and Zevran. There is enough companions to get you through, you do not HAVE to recruit everyone.. something to do if you want to replay the game

Ha ha.   Sounds exactly like my first playthrough.  I totally missed the tavern in lothering.  I did have high enough persuade to get Sten released...but he hated me so I never used him.
Tried to get on Morrigan's good side by agreeing with her in the Circle Tower.  That equaled a dead Wynne haha.

I love how open-ended the story is in this game.  I grew tired of Allistair on my last playthrough, so I had him killed.  ^_^

Sten hates everyone. I get amazed when he actually approves of something I say. ...and that doesn't happen often.
