I think you're taking that part out of context. He's not saying, being gay tarnishes everything, but because this game is SOLELY on a 1 person hero for an entire galaxy, that to give that option would, in some way, destroy that image, even if it meant that you just gave them an option to be gay.
In some way, I do understand the small gay community, but when you're talking about making a huge and epic story, some things wouldn't sit well with a much larger community. It's about making a character so iconic, and it's also about business.
Weird that so many straight guys, such as myself, don't think it'd "tarnish" anything.
Again, though, you're giving Bioware too much credit. You took that "iconic character" bit and ran with it because it supports your positions. It's a derivative space opera with cliche writing and an extraordinarily cliche character. Quit acting like it's the second coming of Homer.
So you're saying, putting words in my mouth, saying that I'm giving BioWare all the credit and that I don't want any gay features in the game? No you fool, if BioWare were to put gay content in ME series, I honestly wouldn't care. To ME? I just won't pick the gay option. Simple as that. I'm just saying in 'some' way I do understand BW, but also the gay community. If they put gay content in, that's cool, if not? Well, that's fine with 'me'. I'm not trying to trash anypme
