Yes, unfortunately, it's a "get off my side, you're making it look stupid" situation.  In this case "get out of my country". 

Pity. Though I hasten to add nowhere is perfect. But it's awesomely funny to see people who's sexual identity could be threatened by a video game. I mean really what's the harm? The whole excuse of "pre-defined 3rd person narrative" sounds like nothing more than a cop out to me. After all there have been those who clearly pointed out that is Shep is pre-defined then why give us the choice of gender?

Perhaps gay men cannot save humanity?

Everything that could be said has been said, the arguments for and against are clear. It's only people who want a flamewar that would continue to further the discussion. Whatever the justification, the article still states that it isn't being considered so...let's drop it till some new news shows up.

I actually see Biowares' answer to that question as highly suspect. I think they are afraid of what people 'may' think about having a gay male relationship. They offer everything but a gay Shep, then claim he's a pre-defined character? I don't buy it.
The whole "Shepard is straight by design" line doesn't hold up. This
is just the typical mainstream "homosexuality is only acceptable when
it's hot chicks doing it" mentality.

If hot chicks are making out, like they do on Spike TV and in my own apartment, it's awesome.

They don't help their case, do they? I mean, I really don't care about that, I just argue about the fact that it is very unlikely. But again, I don't really care, hey I just love Judas Priest AND Rob Halford which is the coolest gay around, I really respect the guy.

In as far as wanting any feature important to you in the game is selfish. About as selfish as being upset if they removed all straight romances, or removed the option to play a female, or removed the option to play a male.

Utilize the features you like, and don't use the features you don't like. But wanting to limit someone else's options in the game is just ****ed up.

<_< I was merely reffering to the fact that having gay romance in DAO wasn't "selfish" and it wouldn't be more the case in ME. Seriously, if you're trying to prove yourself to not be an homophbe, you've failed miserably.That is pure immaturity and intolerance. I don't care about gay romance though I'm certain there will be none, I just happen to have a functionning brain which enables me to have logic and sensical thoughts and just a small bit of maturity. Trying to run away by changing subject is just a proof of my point, you're not showing yourself as someone especially intelligent for such "reasoning"
