Is it possible to somehow use cheats or the toolset to unlock codex entries?

Like say one I may have missed. I know how to get it now but I wanted them all for a particular character I've made and I'm past the point of being able to get it.

Well, one trick that certainly works is to use the console commands to teleport to an area that's otherwise no longer available. Not all areas can be teleported to in this manner, though.
