Hopefully, most of the DLC will further/bridge the story to Mass Effect 3 such has finding new technology (Reaper-tech, Prothean Tech, or some new ancient race)........or learning more of the backstory to either the characters we have, Cerberus/TIM, or more about the Prothean/Collecters

I'm going to take a guess that Bioware will (with at least one of the DLC's) will release another Character...if you notice Zaeed filled in the far left of the screen, so logically there will be someone to fill in the far right.
