A character's worth is only decided by his sexuality!
I agree!

IGN: Will there be gay relationships for the male Shepard? Here at
IGN we've heard a lot of positive feedback from the inclusion of gay
relationships in Dragon Age; compare that with the somewhat conspicuous
absence of them from the first Mass Effect, especially with the chance
for a lesbian relationship.
Ray Muzyka: Here's how the games are different: Dragon Age is
a first person narrative, where you're taking on an origin and a role,
and you are that character at a fundamental level. It's fundamentally
about defining your character, including those kinds of concepts. In
Mass Effect it's more a third person narrative, where you have a
pre-defined character who is who he is, or she is. But it's not a
wide-open choice matrix. It's more choice on a tactical level with a
pre-defined character. So they're different types of narratives, and
that's intentional.
We're not saying that one approach is better than the other. In our
previous games, as we did in Jade Empire, as we did in KOTOR, as we did
in Baldur's Gate, and many games before and in the future, we enable those kinds of
choices, whereas in Mass Effect it's more about Shepard as a defined
character with certain approaches and worldviews, and that's just who
he or she is. So we constrain the choice set somewhat, but enable more
tactical choices and enable a deeper, richer personality, because it's
more focused around defining one character, it's not as wide open. But
that's by choice.
It's first person versus third person narrative, and the types of
choices you get to make within that are related to that, whether you've
got a pre-defined character or a wide-open character. Some of our games
have been wide open, and some have been more constrained, and we'll
probably continue both kinds of character development in the future.

Whats the problem? So your Shep cannot be gay. He also cannot (f)uck a horse. So..

The devs keep insulting everyone's intelligence every time they repeat that "asari are not female, so it's not a lesbian thing" line. Even if asari have only one sex, for a human female to be attracted towards something so uber feminine is a clear mark against her being completely straight. Especially since we now also get Miss Chambers in ME2. And it's not just one asari FemShep can feel attracted to... Liara, Sha'ira, Shiala, Samara, Morinth, etc.
And NO, I don't want the f/f option removed, if you are reading Bioware. Just do the right thing and add a m/m LI and a flirting opportunity or two in ME3. It's the final episode, the homophobic console kiddies be damned!

Seriously. Ray is such a politician, it drives me nuts.Shavon wrote...
Ray's answer is a very roundabout way of saying no. Ugh, that drives me nuts. Just effing say no.

Ray is probably happy you agree. He managed to cram a lot into that roundabout answer.
I don't care for m/m, but the way he worded it makes me ever more paranoid about a possible canon Shep further down the line. I mean, every studio wants to have their trademark space marine, right?

I think i'm starting to get tired of all this "gay have to be everywhere" atittude... ffs. Soon we will have peta complaining why doesn't Shepard has a bigger cage for the space hamster...
Let the Dev team have the char the way they imagined it from the start.
Feel free to flame me... over and out.
You just called m/m and f/f not normal. How is that not homophobic?Brahlis wrote...

But, there are possible f/f romances and 'encounters' but no m/m ones. FemShep can be a lesbian, but DudeShep cannot be gay. Something's up with that.
Because homosexuality isn't normal. Right?Brahlis wrote...

Just start a new game of ME2 without importing and you'll see it.

I don't care what
either of you think, I am telling my Sheps stories the way I want to
tell them not how some sad lowlifes deem I should.
If you'll
note I said IF he hadn't fallen in love with Liara, he probably would
have eventually fallen for the charms of Tali, he ain't a stupid 'girl
in every port' kind of marine. So your scanners are seriously messed up
if you are thinking that.
Edit: @77boy84 if you were being sarcastic in response to Forwen's comment, I apologise for tarring you with the same brush.
@Forwen grow up

The kid who made a comparison between bestiality and consensual gay sex WAS being homophobic and trolling. Or do you disagree?
