G-a-y is not necessarily a derogatory slur.

I asked that because you look at the "f/f" relationship through our perspective. (I know this is very nerdy and technical, but bare with me) Since the Asari themselves don't consider their race an 'all female race' instead as an 'asexual race'. So I don't think that a human female mating with an asexual alien being is bisexual/homosexual.Khavos wrote...

do you consider every Asari bisexual because they can mate with any sex of any species?
Hadn't thought about it.
I do consider a female Shep that bangs Liara or Kelly to be at the very least bisexual, though.

Why should they have to take out anyone in order to put in gay content? Because of time constraints? They had the time to craft six different romantic options for the game; they had more than enough time to have one or two bisexual options in the midst.DeathCultArm wrote...
There's alot of things they could add that would make alot of people happy....doesn' mean they should. And if they had taken out either Jacob/Thane/Garrus out in replacement for a lesbian romances then everyone would've complained about them not being a LI. You can pleas everyoene why try?
Who said they shyed away? Maybe thye just didn't want to add a *** LI...That is actually possible.

Well Liara is in the game, but the only *** romance is with Kelly a new character.
So..yeah..

and on the whole kelly argument... the one scene is her dancing, cuddling, and sitting on your lap. i know PLENTY of girls who do that with each other and are straight w/o a homosexual thought. Strippers that dance for other girls arn't gay/bisexual. AND its not even a relationship. Bioware has said many times that its just a fling. so even if you want to include my previous argument, i also know plenty of girls that have a 1 time fling that are not gay/bisexual. therefore, Kelly is not a LI nor bisexual, and so neither is your femshep

Yeah, I didn't think he was using 'gay', 'cause 'gay' doesn't get filtered out.
your problem is that they didn't have any gay content in the first. Asari's are:BrianWilly wrote...
if they had developed gay content alongside the straight content -- like they did for ME1 -- none of it would be a problem in the first place.

This is why all the "I don't want them to waste time making gay content when they could be making other content" arguments fall flat for me. The point isn't to have them make gay content in addition to the straight content, the point is that if they had developed gay content alongside the straight content -- like they did for ME1 -- none of it would be a problem in the first place.

1. Asexual, as they themselves have said.
2. Not all bisexual because they can mate with any sex of any species.
you fail.

Incorrect. The Mako is already in ME2, you see it in the opening and then later at the Normandy crash site.Well Liara is in the game, but the only *** romance is with Kelly a new character.
Nope. If you continue the romance FemShep and Liara will make out when they meet. Also, if you romance Liara her picture will be on your desk - something that you will lovingly gaze at if you don't cheat on her.So..yeah..
So, yeah, you're still wrong.
No, ideally I would have liked some of the existing ME2 squadmates to be potentially pursuable by both genders, just like how ME1 was originally conceived. There are six of them. Three of them aren't even human. Bioware ****ing stacked the deck with varied, diverse, interesting characters. And yet not a one of them is a potential option for gay content?DeathCultArm wrote...
Let me get this straight you want them to add all new charatcers...Just so there can be *** romances? There was only 3 in the first game...They DOUBLED that and people still want more.

No, the codex gives a human perception on the galaxy. Talk to Liara again from the first. she says (and i dont remember verbatum) that 'your views of male and female genders dont apply to us'. So, because humans see Asari's as all female means they're all female?Khavos wrote...

Alright. So Liara wouldn't consider it a homosexual relationship, if we grant that she's not female - which the in-game codex says she is.
as i said previously, so because we as humans see asari as an all female race means they are?Either way? Female Shepard would view it as a homosexual relationship, 'cause you just said that our (human) perspective would view it as such.
i'm in college. i know plenty of girls who do. plz dont argue that point, cuz every college student will say your wrong. And no, you don't know PLENTY of girls who dance for each other, sit on each other's laps and stroke each other's arms, and cuddle lovingly in bed without being lesbians.
lol why is 'my logic' in quotes? But, going with your "logic" for a second, I see absolutely no reason why male Shepard couldn't have a "1 time fling" and still not be gay/bisexual. Agreed?
So? It still carries over.DeathCultArm wrote...

They're not asexual, actually. You just don't know what that word means.
They're an all-female race, according to the codices in ME1 and ME2. But this argument's been gone over countless times before. It doesn't matter. You yourself said humans view them as female.

Though honestly, if you don't think that Jack and Thane were originally conceived as bisexual options, I'm not sure what I can say.

Strippers are paid to do that, it's their job - in fact to say that strippers dancing is the same as a lesbian relationship is insulting.
