Wait, what? Why on earth would you space someone who had feelings for you, even if you didn't return them? Would you space an "unattractive" girl if she confessed her feelings? Surely you wouldn't be so mean to her, so why be mean to a guy who feels the same way?

No one's demanding you swing any way you don't want, but you can still be friends with someone without wanting to do them or returning their feelings.

When you put it that way . . . there's no room on my ship for unattractive wenches either! They can keep eachother company as I fly away!

:crying::crying::crying:

*sniff* Fine! This unattractive wench didn't wanna be on your ship anyway! *sniff*

are you serious?

LOL, no, not at all.

... well, okay, I'm not that attractive (I enjoy food a bit too much) but the rest is all for lulz.

why would you say such a thing about yourself? in who's eyes are you 'not that attractive'? Sounds like you are letting mainstream society decide what is beautiful and not in your head.

take that evil sentence back now!

What a thread.. haha..

Personally I don't think it's such a big deal, you can still hump other females, when playing femShep.

That M/M isn't in it can't be much a surprise, this game is meant to be accessible to a wide audience.

And quite a few people in that group would get offended by such things for their own reasons.

Maybe in the future this will be less an issue and can just be added to the game.

But on a more gameplay perspective, I'd rather have Bioware invest in a few but GOOD relationships instread of making a wide array of shallow ones, and I wouldn't mind losing any minority things for that.

Why don't you people of the "gay" orientation just stop complaining and deal with it.

Most people who want this aren't even gay - which is probably the most annoying part in itself.

I agree with you Brahlis. I don't understand why people are freaking out about this quote. Ray is answering in a corporate vague fashion. He wouldn't be the first to do it.

I hate how I say I don't agree with the same-sex romance and I have people jumping down my throat and calling me a moron. Wait, what? Am I not allowed to have an opinion?
People want bi/gay romances in ME2 and look how they turned out in DA:O.They were terrible. The romance characters had no real depth or interest in them at all.

I still don't get it. I mean if they add it great, if they don't that's also fine. If I was Bioware was so inclined they could send all these ****s who come right out and flame them (some posters in this thread) to hell.

There's one thing in polite discussion and request. There's a whole different kettle of fish for people who just plain out attack you after you take the time to respond to a query even if it isn't how they expected. I mean really people.

It is just overly hypocritical when there are lesbian romance options.

Why is that a problem? I'm a straight female, and would fully support same sex romance options, be it male or female. I can feel empathy for the other side of the fence regardless of whether or not I've climbed that fence myself. How is that annoying?

This I gotta hear.

Why is it annoying?  Only gay people can want gay people to be represented and included in games?

Next you'll tell us it's annoying when white people aren't racists.

'Options' refers to the plural- there's only ONE option, and there's nothing for gaySheps. There's no hypocrisy in requesting and thinking of actual gay and other lesbian options.

You know, you're sounding like a broken record, since this is the only pseudopoint you've been able to come up with in all your threads.

I think the implication with the non-gay people supporting same sex relationships goes hand in hand with the "constant" requests for female + female content but not male + male content. It seems self serving and not so much promoting gay rights but promoting girl on girl action which is admittedly more popular in the mainstream than the alternative.

But I could be wrong.

Well I got attacked for saying I didn't think that they need to add it. And that Ray was just answering in a professional manner. Some people can't have civil discussion.

Actually... Since there is no such thing as "races" -they are simply part of a social labeling- ethnocentricism could be racist, it depends on how you manifested that.

This was my original point.  I also supprot m/m relationships in ME, because we girls get a lesbian option, so why wouldn't they do the same for gay guys who play?  If they go ahead and admit it just another option for males, then poor Bioware will hear no end of it.

I'm just going to continue popping in, showingmy support for it.  Hopefully, they'll listen with an open mind, and think of these gamers for once.

You're probably not wrong in a lot of cases; there are more calls for F/F content than M/M content, and a bit of that is most like  guys who want lesbians. But a lot of it is also people who had the option in Mass Effect and want it again in Mass Effect 2 and a lot of it ties back to the fact that BioWare has only ever commented on F/F relationships.

I am all for M/M love interests and try to mention them when I can.

I want homosexual relationships if they make sense for the writers. If they already defined characters and none of them are gay, so be it. You won't always find a gay space marine. Hell it made sense for Zevran, he was the stereotypical bi-sexual ****. I don't want them to create a character that they can't put their hearts and souls into and bring to life just so they can have a gay character. If they write the character, and being gay fits him, then GREAT. More for everyone. It isn't a great loss for me if there are no M/M relationships but they should be more considerate of their fanbase at least vocally.

I'm gay, and have 2 gay friends along with myself who would love this option.

Kaiden looks like a candidate, given his.. behavior on Virmire can be taken in different ways.

I think Bioware's silence/corporate-speak on this issue is very telling. I'm doubting buying ME3 new for this (AND OTHER REASONS), really.
