I assume you mean the 1st Ogre you encounter, at the top of the Tower of Ishal.
This is the game's first truly difficult fight.
There is no one tried-and-true way to do it, of course. It depends on your party make-up at this point.
I recommend having a lot of poultices, at least in the double digits. Try kiting the ogre around with Alistair, or Dog (if you have him), and attacking him with ranged attacks from the mages, archers (special arrows will come in handy). If you see the Ogre picking up a boulder, gather up your entire party and flank him. Run behind him and avoid the boulder. If the Ogre picks one of your characters up, be ready with a movement impair like Alistair's shield bash to try and interrupt it.
You do not want to simply swarm the Ogre and hope to overwhelm him. Keep out of his range and slowly break him down. Use everything at your disposal here to increase your damage. Keep your ranged party members far apart from one another to make kiting easier.
