Both Sovereign and Harbinger mean something and tells us something about the Reapers. Sovereign was basically leader of a large army. Harbinger is the vanguard of the Reaper forces. Plus they're not too sinister.

I'm guessing new Reaper names will be something like:
Progenitor - oldest Reaper
Mastermind - Reaper "general" that does most of the planning
Dominion - Reaper responsible for subjugating the organics
Colossus - most powerful Reaper, responsible for putting down organized resistance
Revenant - most insidious Reaper, responsible for the infiltration of enemy forces

I was recently thinking about how Reapers have a certain style of name, and started to think up a few of my own with my friend. I thought I'd post some here because I would like other peoples ideas for names as well.

I apologise for being blunt, but most of those names are nothing like Sovereign or Harbinger.

Yeah. From what we've seen, the Reapers favour grand-sounding names that convey a certain authority. They need to suit their arrogant nature. That's why I think "Imperator" is a good one.

Actually, no. The races give them names that echo their fears. Sovereign was called Nazara by himself, it's just that Saren called him a threatening name.
