I have always loved Baldurs Gate and especially Baldurs Gate 2, the only game that I have ever played more than once (5 times in total). At one point I played with Aerie in my group and she always used to say: "Faster than Chitika Fastpaws".

While playing with Tali and when she summons her engineer drone thingy, Tali also always says something about Chitika, "Go get them Chitika", "You'll never be faster than Chitika Fastpaws" etc...

Which leads me to my 100% certain conclusion that Tali is Aerie; or the same programmer that made Aerie made Tali.

Still, nice one Mass Effect 2 Tali/Aerie creator, I liked that :)

BioWare games almost always contain numerous references to their previous games. ME2 has a drunk Turian named Ogrinn, a Sten is mentioned on Horizon, you can buy a pet Space Hamster, Tali also cries "go for the optics!". ME1 also had Nihlus whose facepaint matched the mask of Darth Nihlus in KotoR2 (not really a BioWare game but one they had strong connection to), Dragon Age had a Shepherd/elevator reference...

DAO also had a waitress named Edwina, she wore a red dress.

If anyone would be comparable to Aerie would it be Liara? Asari are kinda like space elves and Liara tended to be more reserved in her understanding of the world.

Tali is, to me, more like Nalia because she is a 'noble' (daddy is an important Quarian) hanging with the 'lesser folk' (Quarians are seen as secondary by other races).

A lot of Bioware games have references to older games. Space hamster anyone?

Have to agree Nalia is more like Tali than Aerie is. She's not a waterfall of tears looking for a shoulder.

Nalia and Tali both lost their mothers to sickness.
Father killed when castle/ship was taken over by trolls/geth.
Nalia is nobility and so is Tali, arguably.

Nalia was very much into charity, don't know if the same can be said for Tali. And you can't become lord of the castle. :(

Can't really see any similarities between Aerie and Liara though.

The books you buy from the citadel are the mass effect books in real life.

I hated Aerie, She whined way too much, I also hate Tali though, too dependent, I like strong female characters.
