I just want to see a lot of my choices I made in Origins carried over and no ignorance of romances (With that I mean if my character runs into his romance that she still remembers we have something going on or if I for example talk to Alistair about Morrigan that he knows I had/have a relationship with her).

I hope to learn more about Morrigan, Flemeth and the ritual even if its just another hint or cliffhanger, seeing her again of course would be super but I'm not counting on it. :)

For the rest I just hope Awakening comes close to Origins greatness! :D

You know, I've been posting the same thing all over the place. For example, if you get too close with a new companion(s) they get to ask you about your previous relationships and how they turned out. Or maybe seeing them talk in the party banter about you, if they're interested, and have Oghren tell them what he knows. And if you start flirting with one of your companions I'd like to see one of those "choose one" speeches that will have consequences once you return to your previous romance(Leliana learnig about it and dumping you for instance).  It would be a nice touch.

* Morrigan. She was by far the most interesting/multi-dimensional character for me. I held off reading anything about Awakenings until I finished the game (just now), and am really bummed to hear that the "old favorite" might be Ohgren. I almost always chose Morrigan, Alistair, and Leliana for my party even when that wasn't the best choice...I just really really liked those characters.

But I can't limit myself to just one. Also on the list would be:
* More depth/complexity to the inter-personal relationships. I would like to see other characters act of their own initiative sometimes. Everything has to be driven by the player; what if Alistair and Leliana hooked up? What if one of your groupmates made the moves on you, instead of you having to do it? What if a character's love for you wasn't based on some "approval meter" you can fill just by spamming them with gifts and agreeing with everything they say?

* Like others mentioned above, make romance/breaking up more than an on/off switch. It was really jarring after being forced to choose between Leliana and Morrigan that Morrigan just went back to normal like nothing ever happened. (Although I will say this was partially redeemed in the epilogue when it mentioned her being a former lover of my character) I wanted to tell her it was her (sorry, cliché incoming) lack of commitment that made my character look elsewhere, and see if she would change anything, or at least respond. Maybe even if you break up, one or both could still "carry the torch" for the other.

* Pretty specific one: in the "chats" while you're exploring the world, have some where all 3 companions participate. Okay apparently this is already in the game; I just haven't been paying attention I guess.

* Pretty general one: ugh, fewer stats and tiers and "side-grade" upgrades and stuff to slog through. Inventory was constantly full while I struggled to remember if Red Steel or Silverite was higher for the umpteenth time and trying to remember what all nine of my combatants were wearing at all times and trying to decide if "+2 attack" or "+1 armor penetration" was better. If I wanted to min/max I'd just keep playing MMOs. The greatest part of this game is the story and the dialogue and the drama.

* An option permanently available in all dialogues (or at least momentous decisions) to ask your group what they think.

* Also an option to go back one "level" of dialogue.

* A way to "anticipate" enemies running by you with melee weapons so you can hit them as they run by and not have to chase them just because they are targeting someone else.

* It would be cool if the group might get split up, or maybe one person goes off and you choose to go after them, or something. It's a staple of good Fantasy stories (LotR, WoT, SoT, ASoIaF, etc.), but the only taste we got was one little skirmish during the Final Battle quest.

Anyway, that's all that comes to my sleep-deprived mind at the moment. Despite my gripes, I adored this game, and I will definitely be there on release day for Awakenings.

Main thing
My new Orlesian Grey Commander to be affected by my other charcters decisions.

Honourable mentions
Loghain to return as a party member if he's alive.
Griffons!
My necromatic and blood mage abilities to be improved. No more just human corpses can be raised, shrieks & dragon corpses included.
No stupid side quests. Expand more on the main story.
Being able to move through water.
Other totally unreasonable stuff :P

A very small, visual thing. I want to be able to make it look like the characters aren't wearing helmets even though they are. Something like "display helmets: on/off". I didn't find this feature in DA:O, and sometimes the helmets in it weren't too... good-looking. Especially with mages... *shiver* I know they disappear when there's dialogue, but you still have to look at them while doing anything else..

If someone tells me now that there is a mod for this, I'll shame and go to weep myself to sleep, since I already tolerated those helmets for 80 hours!

Morrigan returning would be the best. I actually restarted the game because I missed the romance option :( then when she wanted to break up after getting Flemeth's Book magic witch spell thingy I reloaded the save before fighting Flemeth because I broke up not knowing you could continue. Plus the whole "Im gonna have your bebes then leave and you will never see me again although I gave you a ring where you could always find me" thing is kinda like oh hey since you said I cant follow you Im gonna follow you. It's like saying dont press that button your gonna press the button. She probably wont be in Awakenings but she could be in Dragon Age 2 if there is one.

Also I have a question. Where exactly are we traveling in Awakenings I've be hearing things about Armathine which is south and then of Orleisian Wardens which is west of the Frostback Mountains its really confusing me here?

Amaranthine -  It is on the North coast on the map of Ferelden, East of HighEver and NorthWest of Denerim.

More balance between Serious characters like Duncan and humorous characters like Alistair as your team companions. I'm being scorned in my other forum, because I notice that unbalance. Humor is great and all in the game, I just think there was too much in the last one.

Honestly, a companion that has Reaver, Ranger, Duelist, Blood Mage, or Arcane Warrior right out the gates. Was hoping for a female Reaver or something, not another Templar, one that I could romance. That or the return of Loghain if you let him live(hell, Simon Templeman and Tim Curry had the best voices in the game).

The ability to fire arrows over those ponds that you can't walk over would be nice (the wilds during your initiation springs to mind; as does not being able to fire arrows at those wolves and darkspawn without being able to walk up to them by walking in a straight line (despite the fact that you clearly have a clear line of sight to them)).

I'd like to see if Alistair returns in the sequel when Loghain got spared at Landsmeet. It's not really a wishlist, but the thing I'm most curious about when I load up the expansion and pick up where I left off. David Gaider explained Alistair's reactions at Landsmeet very well (i.e. allowing his hatred of Loghain to corrupt him the same way Loghain's hatred of Orlesans corrupted him and how Alistair would probably later regret walking out on the Blight at such a crucial time) so I'm curious if the story moves on without Alistair or if Alistair will try to find a way to rejoin the Grey Wardens in the expansion.

Yeah. As much as people try and claim that DA:O is a dark fantasy, the atmosphere is hardly ever that grim. I suppose it's dark if you've only seen movies where the hero saves the day and gets the girl, but you never really get a sense of dread other than in a couple of places (i.e. Redcliffe, a certain pre-battle event). I think that a more nihilistic, stoic character would provide a much-needed counterbalance to a goofy, idealistic guy like Alistair. (i.e. sort of like that Legion of the Dead leader, Kardol. Obviously, he won't be the NPC, but somebody with his personality).

But more than anything, I'd like to see a stronger conflict. The darkspawn and the Archdemon were very dull as villains, and I'm hoping that The Architect will provide us with someone we can feel more strongly about. The sentient darkspawn thing is a bit predictable, but the game has potential, and I'm hoping Bio can do something interesting with it.
