not that i know of. it gets old fast though. i keep hearing the same line over and over again. for the love of the maker, please add an option to disable the pc voice, bioware!

Why has no one made any Voice mods yet?

This is how it has always been... Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Kotor, Jade Empire, NWN... not liable to change anytime soon.

Yes, this isn't hard to do.

Navigate your way to this folder:
Dragon Age/packages/core/audio/vo/en-us/vo

The player voice files all start with the prefix "ss_pc_" and then a name that should be obvious from the race/gender and voice set, such as "ss_pc_felf_cocky" for the cocky female elf. There's two files for each voice set (an .fsb and .fev file). Just find the two you want to silence and rename them with something like a .BAK extension. Poof, no more voice.

I totally agree. This voice serves absolutely no purpose in the game. None. It is hard to believe anyone thought this was a good idea. I would love to hear a designer's explanation for why it was included.

I've always found the random voices amusing. "Looks like I'm gonna have to go on a killing spree!" or good ol' Tribes 2's "I've got your number. I'VE GOT ALL YOUR NUMBERS!!!" But then, I'm easily amused. :P

Yes, but those were -funny-.

I've always liked it when in BG2 my guy suddenly goes "WHELP, TIME TO GO ON A KILLING SPREEEEE"

Especially since he often said it at the best times.

In Dragon Age is all "I HAVE TO OPEN A DOOR, ARE YOU SERIOUS, A DOOR, WHY A DOOR, OMG ITS A DOOR"

And then they say it again for every.single.door.

I want to kill whoever came up with the "Can I get you a ladder so you can get off my back?" line.
