My two handed dwarf warrior just barely scores 250 damage with full stamina, final blow, star fang, and warden commander amor (for the extra stamina), but Lelianna scores over 500 damage with arrow of slaying.  I understand that this is a game,, and while I have no personal knowledge, I gotta believe that being hit with a magical two handed sword by a dwarf warrior with over 75 strength would  hurt a little more than getting hit with an arrow, no matter what you do it.

Gameplay: AoS is to give archers an additional "omph" to an otherwise lackluster class build. A balancing decision.
Reality-ish: An arrow-headshot can be pretty lethal.
Logic: It is a medieval fantasy game. Physical logic do not apply.

Arrow of Slaying is designed to do a metric ****ton of damage, mostly based on how much higher your level is, compared to theirs. If you're level 10, and the target is level 5, its pretty-much an insta-gib.

Not to mention in the minute between each arrow of slaying the 2h warrior does significantly more damage.
