And no I don't mean Golem Shale. It would be great if they made a DLC for Awakening or another expansion where she comes back from Tavinter as a Dwarf again. I mean we all already love her and the game is in desperate need of a Dwarf love interest. So Bioware crew if you read this please make it so!

You learn a lot more about the characters the more you play.
So, yes Shale is female. You'll learn more and how and why once you do her personal quest later on. Well I guess it just depends when you go to Orzammar and do the fun stuff there.
