Do you guys really prefer ME2 implementation and if so why? 

ME1 had different damage types, i.e. shields would stop most of the weapon damage but melee and rachni will go right through for example. Armor rating would decrease the damage and biotics had a separate defense rating of its own.   I feel that both shields and armor are very “simplistic” and pretty much just a health bar extension (which completely gimps biotics for some reason now) in me2…not to mention I am not sure why half of the enemies don’t have any armor rating despite the fact that their models clearly wear armor suits.
