Ok so I buy the upgrades for my assault rifles but does the upgrade only work on the n7 rifle or does it work on all the rifles including the collectors rifle as well?

When you say you buy the upgrades, straight from vendor? Or investing the minerals from the Normandy?

I've heard that upgrades don't work on the Collector rifle, but I haven't really confirmed that for myself. As for how upgrades are applied, when you buy an upgrade from a vendor, it is applied automatically. When you find an upgrade on a mission, you have to spend resources (platinum, iridium etc) to purchase it first.

ok thnx, but does that mean only the n7 receives the upgrades or do all the other weapons get them too?

You can tell which rifles receive the upgrade as the letter preceding them will change. An M-whatever will eventually become an X-whatever,



The collector rifle will always be a collector rifle and doesn't receive the benefits of upgrades. The same is true of the incisor sniper rifle
